Don't Tell Me That Rape-Slay Atrocities Committed By Civilians Aren't Acts Of Human Rights Violations?

This is really something when I think about how the Commission of Human Rights under the idiocy of people like Leila De Lima, Etta Rosales and currently Chito Gascon would react. The problem isn't the CHR but it's when stupid people run it. Now it's time to wonder why is CHR silent AGAIN concerning the death of rape-slay victims and not just the most recent one of teenager Christine Silawan? Was it because it's not done by state agents? Then again why did Gascon say "We only deal with state agents!" yet he ends up jumping to Antonio Trillanes IV's defense regarding said invalid amnesty -- wasn't it that Trillanes was a STATE AGENT (and he was a soldier that time) during the Manila Peninsula rebellion and Oakwood Mutiny incidents? That's why I always want to suggest that Gascon should resign from CHR and be Trillanes' lawyer.

There is NO mandate in the CHR that their only task is to prevent human rights abuses only by state agents. Sure, they aren't necessarily a law enforcement agency but they do have their first mandate is to investigate ON ITS OWN or on complaint ALL FORMS of human rights violation -- that is the real purpose of the CHR! Sure, a Senate hearing shouldn't be held with CHR for rape victims done by regular civilians but they do have the duty to investigate it as part of their mandate. While policemen shouldn't arrest suspects through brutal means (because they may arrest the wrong people) but CHR should not hinder any justice. CHR should by all means protect the family of the victim as their first priority -- not get worried if the criminals get abused. Also, kicking out abusive policemen is the job of the police. CHR can document it and keep it as evidence, call out if ever abuses are committed but they should first protect the victims' families and friends first!

Worse, the most recent controversial case where a victim's face was mutilated (presumably to hide evidence) is a WOMAN. So where is #BabaeAko campaign to fight justice for this woman then? Where is Etta Rosales fighting fort women's rights as she claims to be fighting for it? Where are the "strong women" against President Duterte speaking for women who are truly victims of human rights violations of any kind? The whole #BabaeAko campaign is a sham -- it's only good for the women who are aligned to the Dilawans and not for real strong women like Sara Duterte and Atty. Persida Acosta. I guess #BabaeAko and also Gagabriela will probably pin the latest victim Silawan as a victim of extrajudicial killing. If they do so then it should be VERY DESPICABLE. I pray that the victims' loved ones will get justice ASAP and that it will not be politicized one way or another!
