The Current Philippine Opposition Needs To OFFER SOLUTIONS - Not Just Criticize The Current COVID-19 Relief Plan!

As said, both sides namely the government and the opposition have the right and duty to be heard. Recently, Senator Risa Hontiveros is now just opening her mouth again. Is it wrong for Hontiveros to be opening her mouth? It depends. So, she's already criticizing the current plan but the big problem is where are the alternatives? This shows the REAL problem with the current Philippine Opposition - it has become Operation Talk-Lang. It has never been about the opposition giving criticism but its FAILURE to give alternatives . This is what I think should be done. Hontiveros herself should first READ THE GUIDELINES with the other opposition members. Second, the opposition members then need to examine it thoroughly then propose their solutions. Third, the opposition members need to give their alternatives with the intent of HELPING the government do better for the Filipino people. Their intent of criticism should be to maintain power and balance for the benefit of the FILIPINO and n...

100% Filipino-Only Mass Media Will Make Sense If All Their Equipment Were Also Filipino-Made

There's the recent peril that ABiaS-CBN is facing with having to switch to paid frequency or cable TV. Need I say that ABiaS-CBN shot itself at the foot whenever they kept antagonizing the need for constitutional reform since the 90s? Face it - Fidel V. Ramos' desire for constitutional reform was blasted out. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's desire too was also labeled as #GloriaForever constitution. Then you can consider how they're also against President Rodrigo R. Duterte's desire for constitutional reform. Worse, ABiaS-CBN apologists want to say it's an "attack on democracy"? Those ABiaS-CBN supporters do have a failure of mind going on if you ask me. The real peril ABiaS-CBN is facing is that it broke the laws regarding mass media . If that law didn't exist then ABiaS-CBN would've been able to continue to use the free frequencies. Instead, it's got itself boomeranged by the constitution they swore to protect believing themselves above it. ...

If Only EDSA 1986 Brought In A Federal-Parliamentary-FDI 1987 Constitution

It's already past-EDSA Revolution anniversary but it's been three decades of failure. The reason is not that they overthrew the "best president" namely Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. The big reason behind EDSA's failure is that it failed to see the flaws behind the "golden years". Why are the Dilawans taking credit for the whole movement when it was the unity of ALL FILIPINOS that got EDSA to succeed? The reason why today's EDSA failed is that the Dilawans wanted to act like they owned the whole revolution . Truth is the legacy of EDSA belongs to all Filipinos but the Dilawans' attitude is making EDSA more and more repulsive to the new generation. The Marcos Years themselves operated under ECONOMIC PROTECTIONISM  whether you believe it or not. I don't care anymore if the installation was legal or illegal. The issue is did the whole new government work? I may not be a political analyst or anything. However, it doesn't mean I can't share m...

Corazon Aquino Could've Taken Pointers From Lee Kuan Yew

Image Source It's women's month and it's very easy to brag about how the late Cory Aquino is the Philippines' first woman president, right? Unfortunately, presidential systems don't make the best of people regardless of gender. If anything, the overthrow of the Marcos "golden years" wouldn't be so bad if the replacement was good. Cory herself could've been set as a head of state and maybe Fidel V. Ramos could've been prime minister under the 1987 Philippine PARLIAMENTARY constitution. Sadly, we have the 1987 PRESIDENTIAL constitution which Hilarious Davide erroneously calls as the "best constitution in the world". A review of history itself would reveal that Cory herself had visited the "tyrant", the late political champion Lee Kuan Yew. Meeting with Lee, Cory herself could've taken some pointers from him on how to run the Philippines better. She had a Philippines battered by the 20 years of poor quality rule by t...

K-Dramas Lacking An Attractive Actress VS. Teleseryes With Plenty Of Attractive Actresses

With Crash Landing on You still trending number ONE on Netflix Philippines - I decided I might write another butthurt post. The future of ABiaS-CBN is still uncertain. Some people want to defend it because it's the home of their beloved teleseryes but how many have signed the 1M signatures for ABiaS-CBN's renewal ? Did some of them get paid to sign? Maybe, maybe not and I can't be too sure since I'm just a nobody blogger. Now, I'd like to talk about K-Dramas even when I'm just a casual, selective fan of it. It's no secret that I got into K-Drama for the actresses but the more I watch them - the more I realize that PLOT is MORE IMPORTANT than the pretty faces, right? I was thinking about the time I actually watched Hymn of Death and later Still 17 . Shin Hye Sun got a lot of comments about how "ugly" she is. Did it come from some Filipino netizens because she has a resemblance to Sarah Elago ? Maybe, maybe not. But Hye Sun has been very gracefu...

ABiaS-CBN Supporters' Failure Of Mind

If the petition to renew ABiaS-CBN is getting more laughable then so are the comments surrounding it . What one could see is that some people dare to talk about press freedom and healthy competition in their support towards their favorite network. This makes me want to blast them and say that they have failure of mind going on just like Leni Loud Robredo ! First, let's talk about press freedom I heard from the Manila Times that  ABiaS-CBN has a long history with the Marcoses and Filipino communist groups . If that's true then consider the irony that you have Filipino communist lawmakers backing it up . Then you have Filipino rallyists protesting to have it renewed. Since when has communism ever been compatible with press freedom? The history of communist countries and freedom of the press has not been good. Try reading about North Korea's or China's history to get a glimpse of how communism has NEVER been compatible with ANY KIND of freedom. That's why I...

Why I Think 'Ang Probinsyano' Is An UTTERLY POINTLESS Teleserye

We could face the reality that ABiaS-CBN shutdown is might just be around the corner. Whether President Rodrigo R. Duterte will change his mind about the station will no longer make a difference. It would be up to Congress if the whole station will be given its franchise renewal or it. However, I don't even want to prioritize it because it's more important to remove the negative list from the 1987 Constitution COMPLETELY. I didn't originally want to comment on Coconuts Martin (just a nickname I gave him because he's really gone coconuts) and his stance on ABiaS-CBN. However, to call the fight for its renewal is the fight of "every Filipino" is laughable. Just check out at how "many" people have signed the petition to reach one million signatures for its renewal . It's barely even reached half a million! Then it's impossible not to associate Martin here with the LONGEST, MOST POINTLESS teleserye ever known as Ang Probinsyano  or The Provi...
