Are You Ready For Leni Loud's Operation TALK-Hang?

Let's just face the selective outrage of the Dilawans. While I do believe President Rodrigo R. Duterte needs to control his mouth - Vice President Leni Loud Robredo still needs to control hers too . I'm just referring to the latest update from CNN Philippines . House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano may have caught the flu from Noynoy Aquino (regarding traffic) but he has EVERY RIGHT to criticize Vice President Leni Loud for being Operation All-Talk. But wouldn't calling it operation TALK-Hang (combination of talk and tokhang) be the more appropriate title? Here's the truth that House Speaker Cayetano is speaking. This is respectful advice to a political rival. Cayetano lost to Leni Loud last 2016. Leni Loud herself is prone to turning the tokhang (to ask drug suspects to surrender and stop while it's early) into TALK-hang. Cayetano's advice is really simple to Leni Loud - SHUT UP AND LISTEN! Listening is the beginning of understanding. If Leni Loud doesn't l...

Filipinos Need To Learn From The Late John Gokongwei's Life Lessons

It came to my short notice that the late John Gokongwei had finally passed away last November 9, 2019. I decided to finally write a tribute post to honor the legacy of the said man. Just because a person dies doesn't mean the ideals will automatically die. Now, one can consider that the man may be dead but his ideas can still live on! I decided to select some quotes from Tough Nickel  for further discussion on my part. Just remember that I can be wrong in certain areas too. I would like to share these selected quotes for further discussion and reflection: "A true entrepreneur can find opportunities everywhere." In business, you have what you call the SWOT analysis. It's all about Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. You examine yourself from within and then you finally know what you have to improve. You look at the external factors and see both threats and opportunities. Here's the difference that must be drawn between the pessimist and th...

The Filipino People Need More Discipline, Not More Democracy

Democracy or democrazy? Some people tend to call me a dictator because I propose for a disciplinarian government along with the fact that  I applaud Singapore as one model for progress . Aside from my posts on having a  well-balanced economy  - I would also propose it's time for the Philippines to really learn discipline. I would like to address the fact that the Philippines cannot really expect progress unless  people first learn to follow guidelines . If you observe day by day, a lot of Filipinos do not practice any discipline. Do observe how many of them just throw their garbage anywhere in contrast to those who throw their garbage in the right places. You can see how  reckless driving  is very rampant no thanks to loose traffic enforcement. Go to the government office and you can see people who refuse to line up properly and workers who refuse to do them properly. In short, it's all a result of not following guidelines. If the government starts imp...

Let's See If Leni Loud Robredo Can Do Her Work As A Drug Czar

Vice President Leni Loud Robredo finally accepted her position as part of the Anti-Drug campaign. Why President Rodrigo R. Duterte issued such a challenge is baffling. I guess it was because she just refuses to stop yapping. It's almost like telling her, "Look, if you're going to criticize then you better show your solutions!" After some time, she's decided to take it. But the question is can she really do the job she dared to take? Can she prove the president wrong about her? What's she going to do next now she has taken the challenge? Mention her late husband  Jesse M. Robredo  who was most probably killed by foul play ? Unless she really contributed to her husband's achievements but it seems that not every great man has a great woman. Some great men had great women helping them but can she be considered the great woman behind Jesse or not? I have high regard for Jesse and I dumped the allegations by the taken down We Are Collective site as bogus. Ho...

Maybe Trillanes And His Fellow Noisemakers Can Help Solve The Philippine Energy Crisis

It's always encouraging for me to hear of Filipinos who have managed to emerge out of the mud they're surrounded with. As I love to emphasize - Filipinos are capable of evolving but the choice to evolve or to devolve is up to them. From the Manila Bulletin , here's some very encouraging news: A group of students from the Philippine Science High School-Western Visayas Campus (PSHS-WVC) has created a device that converts noise to electricity. The Sound – Light or “S-Light” was created by “Team Voltage 5” composed of Grade 11 students Kirsten Dianne Delmo, Nico Andrei Serrato, Joecile Faith Monana, Frelean Faith Engallado, and Raphael Francis Dequilla. While electricity is normally used to power up speakers, this invention reverses that process and uses sound and converts it to electricity. Since noise can be found almost everywhere as a waste product of human activity and is unavoidable, utilizing it as an alternative source of energy is still unexplored by most ...

Dilawans Need To Put Their Personal Feelings Aside In Times Of Crisis

I'm amazed at how the Mindanao earthquake is now seemingly being politicized. Leah Navarro hints that it's supposedly "retribution" as if earthquakes haven't hit Manila. Not everything bad that happens is a result of retribution so why are these "experts of the Philippines" assuming that it is. Davao earthquake is a bad incident - no questions asked. This politicization is no better than Mar Roxas saying, "You are on your own!" to Tacloban mayor Alfred Romualdez for saying, "You must understand that the president is an Aquino and your mayor is a Romualdez." This is truly stupid because they're treating politics like a  battlefield  instead of healthy competition. Then again, isn't it true that many Filipinos tend to treat competition as a battlefield ? We can consider the fake apology of Yoly Villanueva-Ong. It was highlighted here at Get Real Pundit  where I decided to screenshot the very tactlessness of Ong herself. Here...

Leni Loud Robredo Should Give Constructive Criticism Or STFU If She Can't

Just reading updates on Vice President (if ever) Leni Loud Robredo are either comedy gold or failed comedies now, aren't they? I mentioned earlier the real problem of the current Philippine opposition is not criticizing the president myself. My bigger problem is just opposing for the sake of opposing or the failure to give better alternatives . I'm not saying it was wrong for #OtsoDiretso to go to Marawi to assess it. The big mistake was that they failed to suggest to President Duterte on how to do the project better. If they were doing it just to derail him so they could win then they deserve to lose. But if they decided to give alternatives to President Duterte on how to do a better job then maybe they would have won. The same could be true for Leni Loud as she shows she's not going to make a Member of the Parliament where she'd be in the Government (imagine her as Deputy Prime Minister) or as any member of the Opposition. Right now, Leni Loud shows her to have a ...
