Dilawans Need To Put Their Personal Feelings Aside In Times Of Crisis

I'm amazed at how the Mindanao earthquake is now seemingly being politicized. Leah Navarro hints that it's supposedly "retribution" as if earthquakes haven't hit Manila. Not everything bad that happens is a result of retribution so why are these "experts of the Philippines" assuming that it is. Davao earthquake is a bad incident - no questions asked. This politicization is no better than Mar Roxas saying, "You are on your own!" to Tacloban mayor Alfred Romualdez for saying, "You must understand that the president is an Aquino and your mayor is a Romualdez." This is truly stupid because they're treating politics like a battlefield instead of healthy competition. Then again, isn't it true that many Filipinos tend to treat competition as a battlefield?

We can consider the fake apology of Yoly Villanueva-Ong. It was highlighted here at Get Real Pundit where I decided to screenshot the very tactlessness of Ong herself. Here's what she's saying that makes you think WTF is wrong with her and why she's indeed the perfect campaign manager for somebody like Leni Loud Robredo:

Okay, this is really uncalled for because she's acting like she already knows God's will on when she FREAKING DOESN'T. TBH, she better be careful with her statements as they may backfire on her. Is she implying that only Mindanaoans who are not DDS should get help and prayers? How could she dare talk about relief organizations that will not steal contributions when, until now, Leni Loud's campaign funds still can't be traced and what about the missing Yolanda funds? By choosing not to give the relief goods, as it should be, is very unbecoming of a campaign manager. Doing so means to limit the voters that you will get. If she's really saying that only non-DDS should be helped then she's limiting every chance to win DDS over to vote for some Liberal Party candidates. Are the DDS also not in need of prayers and help? Yes, they are! Not to mention, did she forget that President Rodrigo R. Duterte once helped Noynoy Aquino and Mar Roxas get their votes from Mindanao?

Then you can think about her trying to appease DDS with such a stupid answer. Right now, I'm neither DDS or Dilawan but what she says here is stupid. Both DDS and Liberal Party members should just put their differences aside and help each other in a crisis like that. She could have said, "Whether DDS or Dilawan, let's just help each other. It's not about DDS or about Dilawan - we are Filipinos. Please donate to the victims of survivors." She could have chosen to put differences apart. Instead, she's just bringing up about karma or reaping what you sow. What she realizes is that not every act of disaster is a result of sin. Sometimes, your very innocent neighbor may be a victim of criminal activities while wealthy criminals are enjoying their ill-gotten wealth, driving around their BMWs, and has she even forgotten that the Philippines tends to be a land of injustice too? She should prove that the earthquakes in Mindanao or shut up and just do something to help everyone INCLUDING DDS.

Did she forget that President Duterte went to help Bicol in spite of it being Leni Loud's hometown? She could have removed the final words, "Good? If not, as always the curses will reap their just karma." from her Tweet. She could also say, "please put your money to the donation box" instead of "please put your money where your mouth is." Her tactlessness isn't doing any good for her party.

Did she forget what's going on and what happened? The Liberal Party are now reaping their own bad fruits in due time. Did she even think that Noynoy's presidency made it possible to expose all the dirty laundry of the Dilawans? Kris Aquino lost her popularity, #OtsoDiretso lost their senatorial bid, Mar Roxas lost both the presidential and senatorial bids in 2016 and 2019 respectively, Leni Loud Robredo is already getting hated to the point that even winning the electoral protest wouldn't help her either, Liela Dilemma's arrest can only get gullible foreign support instead of Filipinos.

Now for some science for Yoly to read from Philvolcs:

The 1,200-km-long Philippine fault zone (PFZ) is a major tectonic feature that transects the whole Philippine archipelago from northwestern Luzon to southeastern Mindanao. This arc-parallel, left-lateral strike slip fault is divided into several segments and has been the source of large-magnitude earthquakes in recent years, such as the 1973 Ragay Gulf earthquake (M 7.0), 1990 Luzon earthquake (Mw 7.7) (Figure 1), and 2003 Masbate earthquake (Ms 6.2). The high seismic risk posed by this fault zone requires a large-scale active faults map, a fundamental data set for seismic hazard mitigation.

Yoly decided to jump into conclusions before she even had her facts straightened up. She needs to face it that natural disasters hit both the just and the unjust! Either way, this politicization of the earthquake can be a clear sign of stupidity. If Yoly really wants to help then she can just keep her feelings to herself, donate some relief goods, and help the victims without opening her big mouth. Besides, one clear sign of being a loser is when you choose to be disrespectful to the opposition - pretty much the reason why the Dilawans today are losing their relevance. She's just going to get more ire than support with what she's doing. If she thinks being a sore loser is the way to become relevant again then she's dead wrong. She's further digging the grave rather than helping her teammates out of the grave.

The Dilawans too need to stop with what they're doing and focus on genuine reforms in order to become relevant once more. Otherwise, they can still dig their grave further if they refuse to do so.
