Making It Fun in the Philippines

Today is the beginning of the Reiwa Era and the first day of the month. One can welcome the new era by remembering how Modern Japan rose from the ashes of Imperial Japan as a lesson to the Philippines. Let's do a bit of review of basic Japanese history. Since it's summer in the Philippines and I admit the heat is REALLY UP to the point that electricity is in demand. Then I remembered Noynoy Aquino's rather stupid question where he asks, "If you establish a wind powered plant -- what if there is no wind? If you establish a solar powered plant -- what if there is no sun?" But can you imagine what if he as a prime minister (or right now as opposition leader) decided to raise that question during the weekly question hour .  I could imagine the face of the other party or even his own party mates when it comes to the weekly question hour regarding renewable energy. It's amazing how "intelligent" Jover Laurio can really be. I didn't want to immediately write this common sense post as an indirect reply to her blog post where she compared Boracay to Chinatown . It's a shame really that a certain 4Ps obsessed old man is so arrogant because he has a degree in Mathematics and a systems analyst yet he believes in all his nonsense. There's the saying that you can be highly educated yet you can also be very stupid at the same time. Do you remember the story of the scholars and the lion ? We have to realize that some of the most stupid people have a college degree, a masteral degree, a doctorate degree, may even have graduated from difficult to enter to schools with very high grades -- yet one can be very stupid at the same time.
