What Filipinos Can Learn From The Rise Of Modern Japan

Today is the beginning of the Reiwa Era and the first day of the month. One can welcome the new era by remembering how Modern Japan rose from the ashes of Imperial Japan as a lesson to the Philippines. Let's do a bit of review of basic Japanese history. The collapse of Imperial Japan was on September 2, 1945. Emperor Hirohito declared himself that he wasn't divine -- the very reason of shame for Imperial Japanese that caused massive suicide. The new era for Japan was born on 1947 -- two years after the collapse of Japan. The Meiji Constitution was given major changes in favor for the ever-evolving Constitution of Japan. It had its first on 1947 then it evolved to fit into modern times. The Japanese Monarchy is now but the symbolic as the National Diet (formal assembly) of Japan is the one that makes the powers. How the Parliamentary system made Japan what it is today The Japanese knew for one thing that systems do matter . The Japanese Parliament or National Diet of Japan...

More Expensive System Overhauls VS. Cheaper Minor Amendments Of The Current Philippine Constitution

System overhauls are no doubt expensive. Sometimes, you've got to increase your expenses. It's almost like the napkin commercial of Angel Locsin Colmenares who mentioned about, "Nagtipid ka ba sa napkin mo o ikaw ba ang tinipid ng napkin mo?" or "Are you economizing on your napkin or is your napkin economizing on you?" -- which refers to cheap napkins that don't grant women the protection they need in contrast to a higher priced napkin that's guaranteed to give them better protection. Then you have people who claim that it's better to simply make minor amendments in the 1987 Constitution than to have a complete overhaul. Here's another illustration that you can use. Can you think about the situation where you have an old, obsolete PC that can only handle Windows 95 or lower? It would certainly cost a lot of money to get a new PC to handle better Windows than the momentary repair of your old PC. But your old PC keeps breaking down which in t...

Boracay Looks Like "Chinatown" Because Of Several SOUTH KOREAN Established Businesses

Just because it's Inquirer, CRappler or whatever doesn't mean it's always wrong. Sometimes, it's best to use their own Yellow Media against them. Unfortunately, Inquirer is right where Jover Laurio is wrong. It turns out to be that according to Inquirer -- there are more Korean businesses than Chinese businesses with the following statement: “There was no such reactions when the Koreans came . . . three to four years ago,” said the businessman, who spoke on condition of anonymity to protect his business. The Koreans have actually “ more establishments here and are diversified, ” he said. “Koreans are not only into restaurants but are also into hotels, health spas and massage parlors, bars, coffee shops, groceries, dive shops and other water sports and activities, and there are a lot of (Korean-owned) travel agencies,” the businessman said. Well, I wonder did Jover even bother to analyze anything? It's really funny how she got the " Filipino of the Ye...

It's A WASTE OF TIME Trying To Please The Yellowtards And Filipino Commietards

So while it's best NOT to argue at Pignoy Ako Blog -- it would be sometimes best to keep an eye on updates of the stupidity that Jover Laurio posts as well as the posts of blogs like Change Scamming, Silent No More, Superficial Gazette, Madame Claudia and more. Then you have the social media pages of people like Neri Colmenares, Teddy Casino, Migraine International, Bayad Muna, Akbayad and the like -- just remember don't be fooled by their so-called "nationalism"  because they are only after their own self interests. It doesn't matter what President Duterte has achieved because all they do is bitch and whine like as if there's no tomorrow. While criticizing President Duterte for his mistakes is a must -- the Yellowtards and Filipino Commietards just see the wrongs and dismiss the rights he does. Then again, it's not really President Duterte but the Three Point Agenda that they don't want to happen. It's because it will go against them and their ...

Can You Imagine Noynoy's Controversial Statement About Solar And Wind Energy At The Weekly Question Hour?

Since it's summer in the Philippines and I admit the heat is REALLY UP to the point that electricity is in demand. Then I remembered Noynoy Aquino's rather stupid question where he asks, "If you establish a wind powered plant -- what if there is no wind? If you establish a solar powered plant -- what if there is no sun?" But can you imagine what if he as a prime minister (or right now as opposition leader) decided to raise that question during the weekly question hour .  I could imagine the face of the other party or even his own party mates when it comes to the weekly question hour regarding renewable energy. Just imagine him as a prime minister last 2013 if he raised that objection to the Opposition or Minority Bloc. Just imagine what if he said his stupid statement not during the SONA but during a debate where both his side and the Opposition must duke it out on renewable energy. Now let's just imagine the scenario where Ilocos Norte's former g...

Did Boracay Magically Became "Chinatown" In Just Six Months During The Temporary Closure?

It's amazing how "intelligent" Jover Laurio can really be. I didn't want to immediately write this common sense post as an indirect reply to her blog post where she compared Boracay to Chinatown . The stupidity is so amazing and here's a bit of stupidity that she posted: Ginawa mo na siyang Chinatown. 300 hotels and resorts were given notice to vacate, pero yung mga Chinese nagsusulputan. Pag sa Chinese ang luwag niyo no? Mula sa pag-agaw teritoryo natin hanggang sa mga Chinese drug lord. May nahuli na ba? (Translation) The place is turned into Chinatown. There are 300 hotels and resorts that were given notice to vacate but the Chinese were uncooperative.  So you are lenient with the Chinese? From the Chinese seizing territory to Chinese drug lords. Have you caught any? This makes me laugh for this reason. One, is Jover really even sure that the 300 hotels and resorts were illegal Chinese as she claims? Such an accusation could lead her to getting...

The Problem Of Learning Many Math Subjects Except Basic Economic And Financial Literacy

It's a shame really that a certain 4Ps obsessed old man is so arrogant because he has a degree in Mathematics and a systems analyst yet he believes in all his nonsense. There's the saying that you can be highly educated yet you can also be very stupid at the same time. Do you remember the story of the scholars and the lion ? We have to realize that some of the most stupid people have a college degree, a masteral degree, a doctorate degree, may even have graduated from difficult to enter to schools with very high grades -- yet one can be very stupid at the same time. There are varying degrees of stupid and yet we do realize that stupid people come in different forms and not just mere academic deficiencies. The same can apply to how math education is carried out -- learning many math subjects but never learning financial and economic literacy. Besides, how can you learn basic economics that well if you just learned it for one year in the graduating year? Well geometry has i...
