It's time to GET REAL, isn't it? I may have written a lot of posts against Kris Aquino. There are times I feel like being mean to the person. It's because some of my college classmates wouldn't show up for the practice or project. After all, they'll miss an episode of Deal or No Deal. Popularity is fickle and fading. The once-energetic Kris of the 2000s and 2010s is a shadow of her former self. However, some people still believe that she (or her children) should run for office. Someone might say, "Dahil wala pang bahid ng corruption si Kris." However, Kris' condition doesn't look good and it's NOT EVEN FUNNY. I'm tempted to indulge in heartless behavior but it's NOT her fault that some of my college classmates had poor priorities. It may only be a matter of time before she follows her late brother Noynoy Aquino. It's NEVER RIGHT to laugh at someone suffering either.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, SLE or lupus is when the immune system attacks its own tissues, causing inflammation and tissue damage in organs. It affects the joints, lungs, brain, kidneys, and blood vessels, and has no cure.
Some of its symptoms include skin rashes—which Kris has been experiencing—fevers, and pain or swelling in the joints.
"My faith is still strong," Kris said on all the medication her body has to take.
"My battle has become more complex BUT I promised my sons & my sisters- I won't be a wimp. And I'm promising all my friends plus all who continue to pray for me: bawal sumuko, tuloy pa rin ang laban," she added.
Meanwhile, several friends and fans in the industry sent their utmost support and prayers to the actress.
"Praying for/with you always, Ate," singer Erik Santos commented on the post.
"di ako mapapagod na ipagdasal ka araw araw" actress-comedianne Pokwang shared with a praying hand emoji.
"Love you, Tita! Get well soon!" Darren Espanto said with a heart emoticon.
The multimedia icon is currently battling with five life-threatening autoimmune diseases, seeking health treatment since June 2022 at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.
This was a tweet last 2021. It's unbecoming of a lawyer to endorse Kris as a senator. What's the use of criticizing Robin Padilla's celebrity run while endorsing Kris? Do some people wish that Kris were the head of the committee on constitutional reforms? Given Kris' health condition -- it's really stupid if one should wish she "gets well soon" so she can run for senator. I may have had intense feelings of anger for Kris back when she was HEALTHY. Right now, I can only say it's utterly disrespectful. Whatever treatments Kris may have right now -- she's better off staying away from the limelight. I wonder if she quit show businesses due to HEALTH REASONS?
However, there can still be other issues to think about. I may have wished for Noynoy to be entombed at EDSA like Mao Zedong was in Tiananmen Square. I even wanted to see Noynoy's photo hang high in EDSA. Instead, Noynoy was cremated. However, the problem is that since Kris is too sick to run -- what if people might be prepping up Joshua Aquino (who has learning disabilities) or James "Bimby" Aquino Yap Jr. into politics? Bimby is only 17 years old is probably still clueless about what he wants in life. Mentally challenged people like Josh deserve SYMPATHY but NOT YOUR VOTE. Respect and sympathy should NEVER translate into votes either. It might even be a huge problem if the people of Tarlac would coerce Josh or Bimby to run for office sooner or later.
What do you expect when the Philippines' presidential system is all about NAME RECALL huh?
