Why Trillanes May Be Potentially Philippines' Putin If He Were President

Right now, every condemnation of Vladimir Putin (prefer to call him Vlad the Impaler Putin) though one can think he's practically like Dr. Evil in Austin Powers in some way. I remembered weeks ago when the Russian Army had reports of facedesk  proportions when you watch the news. One mishap after the other makes you think, "WHAT IN THE WORLD IS VLADIMIR THINKING?" Although Mao Zedong did have his mishap during the Battle of Yuldong - he did overthrow Chiang Kai Shek after all, right? Yultong was Mao's Waterloo. Filipino-Chinese general Conrado Yap (who died in action) did, after all, cause Mao to meet his Waterloo like Napoleon Bonaparte did at Waterloo.

Thinking about one fiasco after the other (which also resulted in civilian casualties in Ukraine) makes me think Putin is comparable to yet another guy - Antonio F. Trillanes IV. Trillanes was notoriously known for two failed mutinies - the Oakwood Mutiny and the Manila Peninsula Siege. Just reading about how both mutinies ended in failure may make you laugh or facedesk. Both of them were total facedesks. I still couldn't help but be thankful that Trillanes' chances of becoming president may be rather slim. If not, think about how Trillanes may end up becoming the Philippines' own version of Putin.

It's one thing to call outgoing President Rodrigo R. Duterte a dictator. ABiaS-CBN dug its own grave twice - one during the term of the late Noynoy Aquino and during Duterte's term. One must wonder why ABiaS-CBN didn't get a franchise renewal on one or both terms. If Duterte was a dictator then think about it - ABiaS-CBN is still OPERATIONAL unlike what the REAL DICTATOR Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. did by closing ALL NETWORKS and making the Philippines like North Korea. Bobong Marcos could've been the Philippines' Kim Jung Il if the Marcos Administration wasn't toppled down. Now, I'd like to think that Trillanes may potentially have the markings that would make him a dictator. Trillanes seems to have some charisma and followers that tend to elevate him. Trillanes also is most likely the mastermind behind many of the Facebook pages and sites like Change Scamming, Silent No More PH, Madam Claudia, Superficial Gazette of the Philippines, Pignoy Ako Blog, etc. since they all support him.

Let's just think about it Trillanes should become the Philippine president. Trillanes might attempt his own failed mutinies using the Armed Forces of the Philippines. The Philippines does have its contested territories of Spratlys Islands (which should become an independent state for the Pinklawans), Scarborough Shoal, and Borneo. Right now, I think that Ninoy Aquino (if ever) did the right thing to hand over Sabah to Malaysia. I think Sabah was always Malaysia's territory and it's better to be under Malaysia than the Philippines. I think Trillanes (by any chance) would probably have Gary Alejano lead the Magdaldal Forces to reclaim the territories. Putin's "justification" is that Ukraine used to be part of the Soviet Union. China tends to rant over and over again about how Taiwan used to be part of them. Ukraine and Taiwan were both once part of a dictatorial superpower. Now, what if Trillanes will try the same approach on Borneo or Sabah? I'd be laughing if Trillanes did. Trillanes might even try to reclaim Spratlys not by the international court but by actual combat. Noynoy was smart enough not to launch a direct assault but to settle it amicably. However, Noynoy was more than foolish enough to trust Trillanes and was risking his own neck by pardoning the latter. Trillanes should've served jail time according to his sentence to teach him a lesson.

I could imagine Trillanes wasting the budget of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). Chances are that the Philippine Army may be modernized but at what cost? Modernization is necessary but never at the expense of the people like Adolf Hitler did in Nazi Germany. Can you imagine if Trillanes should invade Sabah and challenge the Malaysian government to a fight? Trillanes might even go as far as to attack the Chinese army DIRECTLY. The Chinese military is no joke either. I could imagine how more than half of the AFP's equipment could be wasted. One portion might be destroyed by the Malaysian Army which might have no choice but to fire. Another portion will be crushed by the Chinese communist forces without much of a fight. Trillanes would really be screwing the military either way.

I find it a good thing Trillanes didn't become president. If he did, it would be disastrous. Thankfully, we don't have President Manuel A. Roxas II and Vice President Antonio Trillanes IV during this terrible time for Ukraine. Roxas and Trillanes may have screwed up the war by attempting Oakwood to Putin. Trillanes might be just as bad (if not worse) that he might end up launching a war with China and Malaysia much to the Philippines' demise.
