I don't know if this is being disrespectful of a dead man or not. Right now, I can't help but compare the late Noynoy Aquino to Mao Zedong yet again. Yellowtard fanaticism towards Noynoy is almost comparable to Maoist fanaticism towards Mao. The Philippine Postal Corporation (Philpost) announced that it would release a commemorative stamp for the late former president 40 days after his death last June 24, 2021. I'm just reminded of how Mao has memorial stamps AND a memorial center in China. Mao requested to be cremated before his death but was later mummified. Noynoy was cremated - something that was supposedly done to Mao.
Personally, I wish Noynoy's body was preserved like Mao's. The location can either be in EDSA or somewhere in Tarlac. True, the ashes of Noynoy are now in Manila Memorial Park (when he could've been interred at the Libingan Ng Mga Bayan or LNMB) near his parents. It would be interesting if Noynoy's body was preserved like Mao at the center of this museum. Unfortunately, there's no more body as it's been long burnt to ashes. However, it doesn't mean that they can't build him a memorial center. The late Jesse Robredo was CREMATED too and his ashes are interred in Eternal Gardens. A museum was erected in Robredo's honor as well. Robredo served under Aquino but ended up dying in what might not be an accident. The Museo ni Jesse Robredo was later established a year after Leni Loud G. Robredo became the vice president of the Philippines.
I could imagine how this museum could stand out. It could end up as a tourist spot for all I care. I could imagine all the portraits that may be placed there. The Yellowtards can go ahead and highlight all the achievements (real and imagined) of their beloved great leader. Noynoy served a political career as a congressman (1998-2007), as a senator (2007-2010), and as the president (2010-2016). This could be a great opportunity to showcase him. Noynoy did also have some business experience prior to politics which can also be highlighted. Though, there's a chance that the museum can also become another way for the Yellowtards to use necropolitics for their own ends. Then again, the Dilawans really need to stop relying on dying party members if they expect to be relevant all over again.
