Those Who Want Kris Aquino To Be President (Because Noynoy Aquino Recently Died) Better Ask What Platforms Does She Have For A Better Philippines?

The absurdity of the presidential system CANNOT get any more absurd than this huh? Do you remember the trend of necropolitics? Ninoy Aquino died and Cory Cojuangco-Aquino became president, Cory died and Noynoy Aquino became president, and now that Noynoy died, will Kris be the next president? This is really the grim reality of the presidential system that necropolitics is really the game. It was just like how Leni Loud Robredo was encouraged to run for vice president because her husband Jesse Robredo died. Now, some idiots even say that the Noynoy times were supposedly a "utopia" and that Kris may be the best bet.

Years ago, I decided to question if the Liberal Party will make Kris their "last hope". The basis? Well, because she's got the blood of both Aquino and Cojuangco. Just remember that one of the Marcos cronies was the late Danding COJUANGCO - the man I believe was responsible for the Hacienda Luisita massacre and NOT Cory. Noynoy has the blood of both Aquino and Cojuanco. However, Noynoy is not his father Ninoy nor his mother Cory. Kris may have the blood of both her parents but Cory was no wanton woman. Cory even frowned upon the relationship of her daughter Kris with Philip Salvador. Though Cory only came in terms to accept Joshua Aquino Salvador as her grandson but didn't acknowledge the relationship. As the joke may go, the late Noynoy would've told Bobong Marcos that comparing Ballsy to Imee Marcos is uncalled for. Well, comparing Imee to Kris is a bit of a closer comparison. 

Let's compare Kris to both Leni Loud and Noynoy. Leni Loud serves as a congresswoman. Noynoy was a congressman and a senator. Both Leni Loud and Noynoy had political experiences. What about Kris? What's her experience in how to be part of the political engine? The only experience she has was running her beloved Kris TV, homewrecking with men nearly twice her age (such as Philip and Joey Marquez), and her social media queendom. How do these qualifications even make her qualified to run the country? May I need to mention that Bum Aquino still has more dignity AND experience than she has? Bum had legislative experience. What about Kris? It makes her a poor substitute. Making Bum for president is still way more believable than letting Kris run.

The idea that Kris can "surely continue" what Noynoy started is absurd. For all we know, she might focus on her personal interests and turn the Malacanang into her own personal studio. The local media may have to give her attention 24/7 if that's even possible. Chances are that Kris TV may dominate the airwaves. She might even want to have a law that will force Filipinos to support the lousy local media. She might even reverse any economic reforms that her brother Noynoy did during his term. You might see inflation rise up because she will try to defy the laws of supply and demand. Kris will never be Noynoy. At least, Noynoy had some good stuff going on. What about Kris? Can Kris really run the nation?

However, in a parliamentary system, necropolitics will be much lessened. One could argue that Lee Hsien Long became prime minister sometime after his father Lee Kuan Yew died. The issue is not about political dynasties. For example, it's not wrong for any Aquino or Marcos to be succeeded by a family member IF that family member does well or even better. Kris for president is nothing but based on PERSONALITY-BASED, POPULARITY politics. In parliamentary systems, family can only succeed family IF they show their competence.
