I won't deny that the death of the late Christine Dacera at merely 23 years old is tragic. Condolences to her friends and relatives who were all close to her. The family wants to investigate whether or not she was actually murdered or did she die from other causes. The first autopsy report wrote that she died from an aortic aneurysm. It's already tragic enough to die young. What's adding insult to injury to the family of Christine are the wokes who are using #JusticeForChristineDacera to further their OWN agendas. It's NOT helping the family of Christine AT ALL.
I think the problem of people now using the death of Christine here is similar to the death of another Christine, Christine Lee Silawan. Silawan herself died from bloody mutilation. Dacera here may have died as the forensic reports say, an aortic aneurysm. Both Christines' deaths were sensationalized by wokes. That's why I really ask the question of whether or not a lack of respect for the dead is really more fun in the Philippines.
Once again, some Filipinos have NOT LEARNED from the problem of trial by publicity. The late Carlos Celdran appeared at the launching of Give Up Tomorrow. It was a documentary that featured how seven innocent people were wrongly tagged in the murders of both the late Marijoy Chiong and Jacqueline Chiong. The "proof" of them being "alive" was disproven by statistics such as academic records that prove that Debbie (the youngest) is INDEED Debbie and the other one is the sister-in-law. The case of the Chiong Sisters was really turned into a publicity cycle. Until now, Thelma Jimenea-Chiong still believes that the #ChiongSeven are guilty even after Give Up Tomorrow provided substantial evidence that the police caught the wrong people. There was also the dramatization of the case in an episode of The Calvento Files while the trial was still GOING ON. The whole dramatization was dependent on the "testimony" of "star witness" Davidson Valiente Rusia - a convicted felon and didn't even qualify as a state witness! Before that, the Vizconde Massacre case was also wrongly handled with a fake witness named Jessica Alfaro. Both Davidson and Jessica were later confirmed as fake witnesses.
The case of Christine Dacera is no different. The family should be given their time to grieve. We need to respect due process. Unfortunately, some people just love to use tragedies for their own SELFISH AGENDA, right? Hopefully, we won't have a judge like Amelita Tolentino holding the case should ever the issue be brought to court. We don't have another Hubert Webb or Paco Larranaga getting WRONGLY tagged.
It's called virtue signalling.
ReplyDeleteHi thanks for dropping by. Anyway, can you give your thoughts on the matter?
DeleteFrom what I can gather, it's still unclear whether the case was a rape-slay or a case of aneurysm. What happened was horrible without a doubt but I cannot really say much about the situation to be honest.
