It's really a SAD day when you think that 23-year-old Kadamay member, Reina Mae Nasino's three-months-old daughter River died from pneumonia. I believe the hospital in-charge needs to be investigated if it was really a result of neglect that River died or was it beyond medical help that resulted in the tragedy. Reina who is a member of the COMMUNIST front known as Kadamay was arrested for charges on illegal possession of firearms and explosives. Just an activist and not a terrorist? What good has the KADAMAY organization ever done for te Philippines anyway? They are just a bunch of moochers. Though, we can't rejoice over the death of an innocent child since she's not at fault for her mother's foolish choices in life. Well, Reina did get permission or three days furlough for Reina to bury her deceased child. Then you've got the outrage of people who were angered at the fact that military personnel had to escort Reina (a detainee) in handcuffs so she could finally bury her child. The whole process was marred with criticism.
Worse, Leni Loud Robredo shows her outrage over the process but I wonder if she ever spoke a word for Mocharao Malysha, a baby who died during an NPA ambush last 2017? I don't accept the apology of the NPA. Then I wonder where was all the outrage and cry for justice for baby Mocharao? Why just for baby Rivers rignt now? Why all the rally for baby Rivers? Where was the justice for baby Mocharao? The death of Mocharao is just as tragic as Malysha. One died from a NPA ambush and the other died because the KADAMAY mother was irresponsible.
As much as I don't agree with Get Real Philippines' Benign0 about foreign investments - I still think about what he said about Philippine "activism" and baby River's death. What he pointed out is the DECADES-LONG problem of a lack of policies concerning vulnerable inmates like Reina herself. The other is also that Benign0 pointed out is that only if Reina and River's currently unidentified father engaged in irresponsible sex. Then again, since when did responsible sexual reproduction be a norm in the Philippines? Just check the teenage pregnancy rates and out-of-wedlock pregnancy. Worse, the issue was politicized.
Here's a post by "activist" Gerry Cacanindin. I really am amazed at how this guy posts one nonsense post after the other on his Twitter account. Just read his articles at Medium - they're full of his SHEER ARROGANCE just like his face on this screenshot shows it. What does this guy want? Want the burial of River to be escorted by members of the NPA? I guess this guy would rather trust the criminals than the cops, right? The reason why River's burial had to be accompanied by law enforcers is one good reason - you don't want the risk of a Kadamay member escaping or any NPA trying to rescue the arrested Reina. It's all about SAFETY protocol. I just wonder what this guy will do if a criminal broke into his house. Gerry may be a graduate of the University of the Philippines but his common sense is so downsized. He tends to make impossible demands on Twitter too. The statement really boggles, right?
We could think of how Enchong Dee replied or at least gave a response to Assistant Secretary Celine Pialago of MMDA. Really? Calling Pialago as "heartless and unintelligent"? Like how? For one, Pialago is RIGHT when she said that not all imprisoned mothers are allowed to bury their dead child. She even asks them for people to DIG FOR THE FACTS as to why Reina Mae went to jail. Even RAPPLER had already cited the reasons. The problem behind ABiaS-CBN is its anti-intellectualism and its MASSIVE FAILURE of the mind. Has Enchong even realized that Reina Mae had the PRIVILEGE to properly mourn for the latter's dead daughter? Also, Pialago is right to say that River's death has been turned into a TELESERYE. Though, I wonder if Pialago herself also has mentioned about children that were victims of NPA atrocities. This really makes me think even further about the recent events about Filipino COMMUNISTS defending ABiaS-CBN's franchise. Not to mention, Liza Soberano is already becoming the new Risa Hontiveros when she participated in the Gagabriela Webinar.
A recent photo by Kayabangan Partylist Representative Sarah Elgago had her present during the wake of River. Is she really offering condolences or well, is she just there for photo-ops? I can't be sure but it seems that she's just there for photo-ops. She's rather VERY plastic in many of her photo-ops including those with children who are NOT impressed. I'm not even a bit impressed by Elago either not because she's unattractive on the outside but because of her attitude. I confess some of my favorite shows have rather unattractive actresses but their performance always makes up for it. Meanwhile, Elago is really even uglier than her appearance which again should be the basis of bashing her. Just like Jover Laurio - the issue with Elago is not her ugly face but her UGLY HEART. This makes you wonder about the real motives behind the outrage for River's death. It looks like it's going to be politicized in the quest of the CPP-NPA for whatever stupid schemes they may have.

The whole movement itself is really just selective outrage. What about ALL the children victimized by the NPA atrocities? Their apologies will NOT solve anything. Those people in charge of River's health (if ever) may need to be charged for neglect. However, we shouldn't forget children who were victimized by the NPA too.
