What makes a Filipino? Is it the quest for "Filipino racial purity" or one's love and devotion to the Philippines? Definitely, I'm really proud to have Filipino mixed breeds compete for the Philippines. The whole idea of maintaining racial purity is a dangerous one. Those who want to need to learn from the aftermath of Adolph Hitler's quest for the supreme Aryan race. Kill all the Filipino-Chinese or Filipino-Spanish just because they're not "Filipino enough" and suffer Hitler's consequences. The revenues for the country would eventually drop short as a result.

That's why I even wrote about the forever gray areas of Filipino racial purity. Whether Filipinos like it or not - their culture has been a pretty mixed bag. The same can be true for the pride Agatha brings to the Filipino people. Right now, it's best just to think of Filipinos as a MIXED RACE. Agatha has both Chinese and Filipino blood running in her. She's practicing a CHINESE sport. She brought pride by being a Filipina who is a Wuxia practitioner. Other Filipinos have also succeeded in other fields as a result of foreign influence. Just think Lydia De Vega succeeded in a Greek-inspired event. Regine Velasquez-Alcasid and Lea Salonga-Chien succeeded better in other countries. So, let's just forget about looking for Filipino racial purity because Wong proved it wrong!
