I guess I can't get rid of my morbid sense of humor now, can I? Reading that Ateneo De Manila Unversity (ADMU) Freedom Wall petitions to get rid of John Gokongwei's name from the ADMU School of Management is WTF. It would be good to ask the ADMU Freedom Wall if they're proposing to create the Kris Aquino School of Management to replace the John Gokongwei School of Management. That came into my head considering I wrote a post where I warned that sponsoring Kris Aquino is BAD for your business!
I don't think Kris herself should even be a model of business management. It's not because she was already born with a silver spoon. Some rich heirs still carry their parents' legacy because they were well-taught and well-bred by not giving them everything they want. Rather, it's the bad management of her life. She couldn't even manage her illegitimate son Joshua A. Salvador and neither could she even manage her marriage with ex-husband James Yap. She even goes around with many men for whatever reasons she has. She's even estranged from her former business partner Nicko Falcis . Worse, she's very arrogant. Gokongwei espoused humility in his life lessons but what can be said about her? She still continues to show some taint of arrogance and attention whoring. Now, that's not the best idea of how to succeed in long-term business, right? This may all be a result of that she may have been spoiled rotten by her late mother or even both her late parents creating a monster of a whore.
Would you rather let a pampered spoiled brat teach you how to do business or would you get a man who built an empire from scratch teach you? Would you let the Gokongwei children who were raised right by their dad teach you or would you let the Aquino heirs teach you how to do business? The Gokongwei children handled their father's empire rather well. Kris' business principles may end up demoralizing women entrepreneurs by teaching them how to wreck homes for capital.
