Philippines Is Now Out Of ICC, Now It's Time To Clean Up CHR Of Its Yellow Garbage

The solution isn't really to #AbolishCHR because the real problem is not the Commission on Human Rights itself but CHITO GASCON. Now that the Philippines is out of the International Clown Court -- I think it's time to actually take out the trash inside the CHR itself. Gascon was even whining about how the Philippines has supposedly "made a serious mistake" by withdrawing from ICC.

Here's what GMA-News reveals on what Gascon said about the withdrawal:

In his texted statement, Gascon said: "The government is grossly mistaken in believing that the ICC does not have jurisdiction over events in this country."

"What it must do is to show that it is willing & able to bring all perpetrators of human rights violations to justice," he added.

How can Gascon can bother to talk about justice and perpetrators of human rights when he only makes excuses? Let's see where his credibility stands to become the head of CHR to start with? He says that CHR only goes after state agents yet how many abusive state agents have been left alone by him? A good example is the Dengvaxia disaster which he refuses to even do an investigation to why many of those vaccinated died. Wasn't Garin a state agent? After refusing to act on abuses done by state agents -- he now has done one big stupid action by actually backing up for Antonio Trillanes IV. Trillanes' two acts of mutiny were acts of atrocities done by STATE AGENTS. Gascon is only making excuses not to do his job. Besides, he needs to answer on whether or not heinous acts done by non-government agents are not human rights violations. Shouldn't he also act in making sure policemen arrest criminals and call them out if they fail to do their job?

Why is firing Gascon from the CHR an important agenda for the Philippine government? He is a waste of space and not doing his job. He wants work then why doesn't he act as Trillanes' legal counsel? Trillanes term as senator may be over soon be over. Gascon as Trillanes' court lawyer would be fun to watch. Then maybe we can have Atty. Harry Roque as the next human rights chairperson to make CHR useful. Gascon is the one that's useless -- not the CHR!
