My Own Opinion Concerning The Death Of Atty. Glenn Chong's Bodyguard, Richard Y. Santillan

The event of the death of Atty. Glenn Chong's bodyguard the late Richard Y. Santillan was not a joke. Although I may not be a criminologist, forensics expert or lawyer (and I'm still waiting for updates of said event) -- I just want to do a simple analysis as a casual blogger concerning the death of Santillan and what could have really happened to him. This is going to be mostly speculative so I request my readers to read this post with a grain of salt because I don't claim to have the answers either. So what could have happened to Santillan from behind the scenes?

From Business Mirror -- here's what Atty. Chong himself has to say so let's hear his side of the story as well which I'll just give an excerpt:

According to Chong, the video footage showed there were patrol cars in front and at the back of Santillan’s car, contrary to the police spot report that his aide engaged lawmen in a shootout.

“That’s against human nature kung alam mong may patrol car sa harap, may patrol car sa likod (if you are aware you have a patrol car in front, and a patrol car at the back),” he said.

He also belied police claims they found in Santillan’s possession three packets of shabu, adding that “when the victim is dead you can always plant evidence there.”

He also pointed some loopholes in the police spot report on allegations that Santillan was a suspected member of the Highway Boys Group which operates in Taytay, Cainta and Pasig City.

“Papatunayan ko sa husgado na si Richard Santillan ay katabi ko halos 24/7. Lahat ng kaibigan ko, kilala si Richard Santillan. Kung si Bong Go ay kay Pangulo, si Richard Santillan naman kay Glenn Chong [ I will prove in court that Richard Santillan is practically with me 24/7. All of my friends know Richard Santillan. If Bong Go is with President Duterte, then  Richard Santillan is with Glenn Chong],” read Chong’s post on his FB account.

“In my eight years, even in my associations with politicians and high-profile persons [they] know that Richard is always with me, and I also introduced him to the “big” personages, because I treat him as a brother,” Chong said.

He also confirmed that he gifted Santillan with a Gloc firearm registered under his aide’s name and that Santillan may not have brought the registered firearm with him during the incident. Chong suspects the firearms and a grenade were planted as these were reportedly found in his aide’s possession.

He added that to his knowledge, Santillan had no known “enemies” except some people in Smartmatic and the Commission on Elections (Comelec). Chong had been a thorn in Smartmatic’s side since the 2010 elections, when it won the Comelec bidding to provide the precinct count optical scan (PCOS) for the country’s first automated elections. Chong was among the first and most consistent critics of the PCOS system, which he said could be gamed.

“Malinaw ang mensahe nito sa akin. Wala akong ibang kalaban maliban sa sindikatong riding in tandem – ang Comelec at Smartmatic. Ito lang ang tanging anggulo na nakikita ko. Tinatakot nila ako at gusto nila akong pilayan by going after the people na malapit sa akin. HINDI SILA MAGWAWAGI [The message is clear to me. I have no known enemy except the syndicate riding in tandem—Comelec and Smartmatic. This is the only angle I can see here. They are trying to scare me and are paralyzing me by getting rid of people around me. THEY WILL NOT SUCCEED],” he said.

A police spot report said Santillan was driving Chong’s car when still unidentified assailants peppered the car with bullets, killing him instantly in what police reported as an “encounter”.

Reports said there were 30 bullet holes in the car, and Chong said the incident proved the attackers were keen on killing their target.

Chong is known to be an election reform advocate and was the one who exposed the alleged anomaly in the 2016 vice-presidential race between Leni Robredo and Bongbong Marcos.

He added that Smartmatic had a hand in the cheating and that he was relentless in his pursuit of the truth when he testified about the alleged electoral fraud in both Senate and House hearings.

This is what would put any  of the Dilawans in trouble. If ever Santillan was supposedly guilty of said accusations -- the policemen involved (if ever) may be charged with police brutality. This would mean that current Commission on Human Rights chairperson Chito Gascon would make not to take action against police brutality. Even if CHR is only meant to handle misdeeds handled by state agents then Gascon can still be charged with sleeping on the job with his current inaction.Yet, he's once again silent concerning what could be a violation done by state agents. Where is Gascon in doing that part of his supposed job just to investigate atrocities done by state agents? He's probably too busy preparing to become Antonio Trillanes IV's lawyer if ever said person would be brought to court. Either way, Gascon if ever needs to cook up whatever excuse in order to further not do his job. This is not a call for the abolition of CHR but rather a call to remove Gascon from his office for not doing his job as he should! Gascon and not CHR is the real waste of space that should be gotten rid off immediately!

Here's a machine caught on camera that exposes the whole tampering process done. How is it that even with no shade that Mar Roxas himself is suddenly voted as president? This is obviously cheating yet why is this denied by the mass media? Right now, the Dilawans are already proving themselves to be thieves such as why would they want the 25% shaded ballots for Leni Loud Robredo to be honored as valid votes? Those shaded ballots won't even pass through a PCOS machine that has not been tampered. That's why I really want to let those 25% shaded votes for Leni Loud to pass through non-tampered PCOS machines to see if they can be validated.

The series of clashes between Atty. Chong and Leni Loud's election lawyer Atty. Romulo Macalinlang (who should be awarded as the "world's greatest magician") may have fueled this one. Chances are that Atty. Chong and Santillan have already gathered more than enough evidence that could reveal cheating was done by the Dilawans and that it's not Bongbong Marcos who stole the office but Leni Loud herself. So why call Bongbong a thief for actually protesting against the cheating and why was the election recount delayed for more than a year? This should get things suspicious. It looks like that Atty. Chong has further proven that the alleged cheating by the Dilawans are not allegations but events that actually happened.

It's most likely that Atty. Chong himself is currently targeted in an assassination attempt. Santillan himself (if ever) was tortured refused to give in to whatever the demands of the torturers were. Santillan would probably rather die than to betray his employer Atty. Chong or the Filipino people. The possible torture done towards Santillan was most likely done by corrupt cops paid for by the Dilawans and their allies in another destabilization effort against President Rodrigo R. Duterte. Also, what's more bizarre is that said incident happened a few days ago and why is it that Antonio Trillanes IV is flying all the way to U.S. and Europe? Could it be possible that Trillanes himself may have at least something to do with said murder? It's too early to tell but I think it's a possibility that Trillanes himself may have even masterminded it given his ruthless mindset.

This is most likely a warning to Atty. Chong to either give up the fight or to lose his life. It's already a common tactic by syndicates to use torture methods and brutal deaths as a way to threaten people to call it quits. However, a person who's truly devoted to fighting for justice won't easily give up and I think Atty. Chong himself may be on the right path but it would't be easy! I pray to God that the truth will come out about Santillan's killers and that justice will be served as soon as possible!
