Much Less Whatever-Tards Under A Parliamentary System

It's really a problem when you've got the current Dutertards vs. Noytards dichotomy (as well as the Marcostards vs. Aquinotards) going on rather than get a middle ground. It's like the problem with one side is that they IGNORE the good and the bad from their side and both sides. So it's almost like Dutertards want Noynoy Aquino to get ran over by a train (which statement was obvious hyperbole) or Noytards demand President Duterte to ride a jetski to the West Philippine Sea -- which both sides made hyperbolic scenarios. The problem with the current presidential system is that it's very easy to be one-sided because it's a popularity contest.

But how would a parliamentary system reduce the whatever-tard form of thinking? One of the biggest problems of the presidential system is the lack of a real, formal debate and a real, formal opposition. If we can think of how and how if the current Minority Bloc was formalized into the Opposition then think of how things would be way different.

Let us put the hypothetical scenario of where Prime Minister Rodrigo R. Duterte and Opposition Leader Noynoy Aquino would be heads on. The PDP-Laban Party is on the Majority Bloc and the Liberal Party is on the minority bloc. If it were under Prime Minister Aquino then maybe we would have Opposition Leader Alan Peter Cayetano. So how would the whatever-tard mentality be lessened? It's because a real debate will highlight the strengths and weaknesses of not just the dominating party (PDP-Laban) but also of the current minority party (Liberal Party and other minority parties).

The ongoing debate would make every party keep on their toes because both sides will have to keep an eye on each other. A weekly debate in the parliamentary means everyone has to be well-prepared for the debate. Both sides must present their point in a real debate where sleeping isn't allowed. The Speaker of the House can't sleep on the job either. This would require intense and vigorous question and answer and both sides must present their point properly or perish.

What's also good about the parliamentary system is that it's not going to be one sided. Everything from both sides will be examined. The debate will really get the pros and cons from both sides with the common goal of national improvement. Celebrity politics will be lessened because people will have to vote by credibility rather than by popularity. It will explore every black, white and gray area from both sides before coming up with a common solution.
