Here's a meme that should be very meaningful. For non-Tagalog spreakers, I'd like to translate it as below with some additions to make it more understandable for them:
You are angry with China's seizing of the Philippines?
- After that you are shopping in SM of the Sys
- After that you are eating bread made from the flour of Robina owned by the Gokingweis
- After that you are eating burgers of McDonald's of Yang (franchised)
- After that you eat Chicken Joy at Jollibee of Caktiong
- After that you buy canned goods at Pure Gold owned by Co
- After that you take a ride at Philippine Airlines owned by Tan
- After that you buy a car at Toyota of Yuchengco (franchised)
- After that you take a ride at Cebu Pacific owned by Gokongwei
- After that you buy medicine at Mercury Drug owned by Que
- After that you enroll in the University of the East owned by Tan
- After that you watch ABS-CBN owned by Lopez
- After that you must remember Jose Rizal is a great-grandchild of Lamco
You better have a DNA test first in order to know whether or not your ancestors are from China!
Of course, this doesn't mean I condone any act of racism against Filipinos or any race for that matter. It's stupid to be a Chinoy AND hate Filipinos at the same time because international laws look at the former as FILIPINOS plus China won't recognize them as its citizens. I also like to address the idiocy of Filipinos who believe in the idea of "Filipino racial purity" because that's absurd. Who can say indeed that they are "Pure-pinos" because Filipino history shows that there's tribal settlers from other areas, the Imperial Spanish occupation for nearly 300 years, the Imperial Japanese occupation and the American occupation -- so really don't tell me Filipinos never interbred (and some of it happened by force) and intermarried during that time?
What does it mean to be a Filipino? It means to be a CITIZEN of the Republic of the Philippines and one doesn't need to be a "Pure-Pino" to be a Filipino. Filipino-Chinese are still Filipinos whether those anti-Chinoy idiots like it or not. Are these Filipino-Chinese businesses are still considered Filipino businesses? Yes, it's because the founders are considered Filipino both by Philippine laws and international laws. These local businesses wouldn't be possible without Filipino-Chinese running them though there's also a dark side of Filipino-Chinese that needs to be talked about too such as the old generation Chinese having their bad habit of moving to other countries then refusing to assimilate with locals.

Besides, it's already bad enough that the Philippines is still under the problem of economic protectionism. Try getting rid of all the Chinoys and their businesses (though not all of them are into it or are members of the dreaded oligarchy) and let's see how the Philippines can survive. A huge percent of the Filipino economy are held by Chinoy businesses. Most registered local businesses are owned by Chinoys. Having an "ethnic purge" to maintain the "Pure-Pino" would end up devastating the Philippine economy -- just like how Adolf Hitler's anti-Semitic idiocy caused the German economy to crash back in World War 2.
