Would You Join Antonio Trillanes' Coup Should He Attempt To Do Another One?

It's unfathomable that Antonio Trillanes IV was given his pardon after he tried to overthrow the Arroyo Administration. This pardon may be because Noynoy Aquino hates Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. So is the pardon even valid and lawful to start with? More importantly, shouldn't he have served his sentence depending on how much damage he's done for his coup back then? But instead, he got out of jail and became a Senator.

Rumors say that he's willing to become the next Ninoy Aquino. I used to think of Ninoy as a hero until I started discovering his dirty connections not just with the New People's Army, the Light a Fire Movement, the Jabidah from Malaysia... so what's heroic about it? Worse, it turned out that all Ninoy did in his later years was become a founding father of the Talk N Talk movement. Years later, the Senate would have Trillanes as a goofball who's looked up to as a hero by his followers.

With that in mind, rumors say that he's also planning another coup. But the question is given his mindset would he even succeed in leading a coup against President Duterte? He already failed to overthrow Arroyo so what makes him think he could overthrow President Duterte? Can he even get his fellow political rivals who are part of #TindigPilipinas to join him? It may end up as a shaky merged rebellion because not everyone is from the Liberal Party. Do we even forget that Trillanes also ran for vice president against Leni Robredo or that Jejomar Binay ran for president against Mar Roxas? Trillanes wanted Binay in jail, right? So think how shaky things will be.

Chances are just like Ninoy's attempted rebellion that it'll end in in colossal failure. Is he really fighting against dictatorship? He may want people to make it look like he did. Instead, he may end up dying not for the Philippines but as a result of his stupidity.
