Would You Buy The Sequel Of "Sa Gitna Ng Unos" With Leni Loud Robredo As The Heroine?

Who could remember the time when Mar Roxas became the "hero" of the "hit" comic book series Sa Gitna Ng Unos or In the Middle of the Storm ? Mar was its first protagonist and now we need a sequel with Vice President Leni Loud Robredo as the heroine of the comic. It just kicked into my mind that the current "opposition" would always bring up Leni Loud's physical presence . You have idiots like Leah Navarro, Agot Isidro, Jover Laurio, and Yoly Villanueva-Ong making such remarks as if President Rodrigo R. Duterte can't command or delegate somebody to do damage check. Also, Duterte's current age and health would put him AT RISK this pandemic. Hopefully, Angat Buhay can still mobilize and provide help when necessary without politicizing. What would also be very weird is that Leni Loud is no less guilty than recently promoted Debold Sinas. Leni Loud is also deliberately breaking social distancing guidelines  such as shaking hands with people when it...

No Excuse For Local Networks NOT To Change The Way Teleseryes Are Carried Out

I was thinking about when I decided to watch  The Haunted by ABiaS-CBN. Surprisingly, it's a teleserye from 2019 that lasted for only TEN episodes and wrapped up its plot when needed. Meanwhile, you've got a lost of pointless teleseryes. Who can remember that Mara Clara in the 1990s had a total of 1,156 episodes or Mula Sa Puso had 500+ episodes? Besides, isn't Ang Probinsyano currently ABiaS-CBN's most pointless teleserye ever ? It should be very laughable when you consider that the misadventures of Cardo Dalisay (Coconuts Martin's version) are getting nowhere. That's why I even wrote that Korean crime dramas beat the 1,100+ episodes of the said show . It may be even more than time to END Ang Probinsyano because of it getting stale. This makes you wonder why ABiaS-CBN (and also GMA-7) REFUSE to change the format of teleseryes. I was thinking about making teleseryes based on popular imported drama  end up as inferior localizations. It's not because they'...

South Korea's Culture Of Excellence Is Because It's FDI Friendly, Philippines' Lack Of It Is Because Of Protectionism

It's no doubt that Start-Up has become the number one trending K-Drama this week. I remembered writing some time about Filipino K-Pop fans and the K-Dramas that enter into Netflix's top ten . I was simply inspired to finally write about South Korea's culture of achievement in sciences and technology - something that Benign0 of Get Real Philippines (GRP) either doesn't get it or refuses to get as to WHY the Philippines doesn't have it . While watching Start-Up - I wonder if Filipino fans of the show are too busy on their fandom of Suzy Bae or the love story than the whole idea of a start-up. I just felt like writing about South Korea's culture of achievement in sciences and technology - something that wouldn't be possible if the Japanese didn't introduce newer stuff for many to evolve like rice cookers and DVD technology. Though, my favorite example is always the rice cooker because unlike the Betamax and VHS - rice cooker is still evolving while the o...

Can You Imagine #RollyPH And #UlyssesPH Striking Under President Roxas And Vice President Trillanes?

Apparently, I ended up writing something on the pathetic attempts of the Yellowtards to make Vice President Leni Loud Robredo look good . We've had two typhoons this November 2020 with #RollyPH and #UlyssesPH. We've had the bitches like Leah Navarro, Igat Isidro, Cynthia Patay, and Jover Laurio of Pignoy Ako Blog still pathetically saying #NasaanAngPangulo as if President Rodrigo R. Duterte can be in all places at the same time. Now, it's time to imagine what if #RollyPH and #UlyssesPH hit under the imaginary regime of President Mar Roxas and Vice President Antonio Trillanes IV.  I just remember the "hit series" Sa Gitna Ng Unos . I even wondered if Roxas was going to re-print his "hit comic book series" last 2019 . One controversial move Roxas made was to make side comments in Tacloban during Yolanda last 2013 . I find it funny that the Dilawans weren't even immediately demanding the presence of Noynoy Aquino there. Then again, like Duterte, Noyn...

Memories Of Typhoon Ruping And Its Bitter Aftermath

It's been 20 years since Typhoon Ruping took place. I decided to write this piece because Typhoon Rolly entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility weeks ago. I was five years old when Typhoon Ruping hit the Philippines on November 18, 1990. It was a horrible Category Five Super Typhoon. It was a powerful typhoon, and I remembered how horrifying it was. I could remember sleeping in total darkness during the evening. The worse thing was that there was no electricity for some time. I think it was ONE MONTH without electricity and the effects were that bad. It didn't help I used to live in an old ancestral house where ghost stories were being told a lot.  The typhoon was just the beginning of the disaster. It didn't help it was boiling hot, and there was no electricity. That means cold water became a luxury. I could remember how our neighbors would ask for water from us because we had a water pump. I could remember how it wasn't good for my late paternal grandmother to b...

Many Filipinos Have IGNORED These Practical Words By Jack Ma About Budgeting And Spending

Who can remember the event when Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU) invited Jover Laurio (of Pignoy Ako Blog fame) while De La Salle University (DLSU) invited Jack Ma the founder of Alibaba? Those events were in 2017. I'm amazed at how the once-revered ADMU, the dream school of many and the school I once aimed for, ended up inviting PAB's head writer Jover as a RESOURCE SPEAKER instead of Jack. Just think who would you listen to between Jover or Jack? Jack established Alibaba and Jover established PAB. If you're going to consider giving a resource speaker - why not a businessman who can hire you for a well-paying job than somebody who's obviously a paid hack? Jack has some practical words which I posted above that Filipinos should heed to. I was thinking about one of the many times I read Get Real Philippines and I still remember these comments directed at the ever blameless Fliptard . Fortunately, Aeta's Fliptards blog is now DELETED though I miss the time I would ...

Local Media Showed Leni Loud Robredo Breaking SOCIAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES

I'm not here to demean Angat Buhay or to say that it's wrong for Vice President Leni Loud Robredo to help out. President Rodrigo R. Duterte FIRED Manuelito Luna from PACC for trying to destabilize Angat Buhay's initiative. She even thanked Duterte for recognizing her initiative. Though, we need to think that the problem with Leni Loud is not that she's helping but she seems to have a knack for NOT FOLLOWING simple guidelines . The picture taken last November 7, 2020, in the typhoon-hit area is really making me LMAO at her. She's obviously NOT following simple guidelines even if she still has her facemask on. It's NOT enough to have facial protective equipment on - you need to really also practice social distancing. Just notice the tricycle that Leni Loud is on. It's rather overcrowded. Didn't Leni Loud remember the need for social distancing? I bet former Taiwanese vice president Chen Chien Jen would facedesk if he ever heard of this. Chen himself stat...
