Would It Really Matter If The Aquinos And Marcoses Will Be In Power In A Parliamentary System?

September 21 can bring in a LOT of grim memories for people especially the martial law survivors. Some people have horrible tales to tell of detention and losing loved ones. Now, I decided to write this trolling post (of sorts) to really address the time for charter change. It's disappointing (REALLY) that an intelligent guy like Bam Aquino should say, "Now it's not the right time." in regards to SYSTEM CHANGE. I guess intelligence doesn't always translate to common sense. For some - the answers go to be THAT IDIOTIC. A certain clueless someone said she will only support charter change only if there will be no more Marcoses and Dutertes. Maybe, for the Dutertards, they would say they'd only support charter change IF there are no more Aquinos. I find all these answers stupid since they're based on personality politics. Does it even matter if the person running in politics is an Aquino or a Marcos?

A parliamentary system would care less if you're an Aquino or a Marcos. If Bam can prove himself to be a good Member of the Parliament then why not? If Bongbong can prove himself to be a good Member of the Parliament then why not? Should the bloodline of Bam or Bongbong even be relevant? So what if Bongbong is the son of a tyrant? That doesn't automatically make Bongbong a tyrant. That means even if Bongbong becomes prime minister - his rule's duration is dependent upon the gaining the confidence of the Parliament in his leadership abilities. Also, Bam might serve as the Opposition Leader if Bongbong were prime minister. In short, Bam can hold Bongbong accountable. The same can be true of Bam were prime minister and Bongbong were the Opposition Leader.

In parliamentary systems - the issue is about performance over family background. It wouldn't matter if political dynasties will exist. The late Lee Kuan Yew was succeeded by his son, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. Should it be an issue that the late Noynoy Aquino became president and his late mother Cory Cojuangco-Aquino became president? I think Sara Duterte-Carpio running for president shouldn't be an issue either if she can prove herself. Though, under parliament, it would be all about if you can contribute to the country than one's own blood or being a family member. So if certain Aquinos and certain Marcoses CAN DO IT - they're welcome to run. So let's say that Bimby Aquino Yap can prove himself while Bam is prime minister - he's more than welcome. If Sandrex Marcos can prove himself while his father Bongbong is opposition leader - he's more than welcome.

Parliamentary systems will look more on, "Can this guy contribute?" over "Which family does he belong to?" In short, even when political dynasties exist, they can be lessened if members of that same political family show their lack of ability. Political dynasties may only exist if members of that same political family show their true ability.
