1995 for some were the "simpler times" and also when we enjoyed bad reception on TV, right? I really could remember how the 1990s had some good and bad memories associated with it. A bit of a flashback will give us the details of Kris Aquino's interview with Bongbong Marcos - back when she was still relevant. Right now, I doubt it that the passing away of Noynoy Aquino could propel Kris into politics though the Liberal Party may prod her to do so. Hopefully not considering she isn't well and people should also stop harassing her - the fame she has is now GONE. Now, Bongbong became a congressman in 1995 and Noynoy became one in 1998. Both were scions of powerful clans whose innocence is REALLY questionable.
Why all the outrage for Toni Gonzaga's interview with Bongbong? Again, I'm not denying that the Marcos Years weren't the golden years. However, the Noynoy years weren't the golden years either as Gross Domestic Product (GDP) alone isn't a measure of the quality of life. True, Noynoy improved the economy but did it really overall beat the neighboring countries? Back on topic - Toni's interview with Bongbong gathered a lot of views and 328K likes. The interview of Toni with Vice President Leni Loud Robredo only has 70K likes. Hmmm... then there's the Twatter campaign to boycott Toni? Are they going to petition to have Toni FIRED from ABiaS-CBN for that interview?
Yet, I wonder how many of the Yellowtards know of the interview of Kris with Bongbong on RPN-9 on Actually Yun Na. I was too young to remember the details and only my elders managed to watch it. I was still a cartoon addict at that time. I guess the absence of social media back then didn't get Kris the kind of lashing that Toni got right now. The interview was rather very formal just like how Toni did it. Though, I'd rather watch how Toni interviews her guests. So why isn't there any outrage to bring back up that Kris actually once interviewed Bongbong?
Right now, I'm laughing at this bit and tidbit of history. Toni seems to be more fair than most of the people in ABiaS-CBN. I'm glad that Toni decided to interview both Leni Loud and Bongbong. Toni alo interviewed Isko Moreno and Grace Poe-Llamanzares. So I guess if Toni should be boycotted for simply interviewing Bongbong then let's also boycott Kris too, right?
