The recent Coronavirus scare is still going on. Rather than offer better alternatives as the Opposition - Yellowtards would rather tag #OustDuterte, right? I may no longer be a Diehard Duterte Supporter ever since the "stupid G--" incident but I can still support some policies by President Rodrigo R. Duterte. Now, it's time to consider a bit of a challenge to the Yellowtards. The challenge has always been that Yellowtards need to explain how Vice President Leni Loud Robredo can be a better president. Now, let's move it to the most recent incident. It's time to challenge the Yellowtards into explain how they think Leni Loud can better deal with the Coronavirus.
Leni Loud herself still has the MASSIVE failure of mind as Rigoberto Tiglao calls it. She has FAILED in her work as housing czar, she even showed how she poorly handled her OWN HOMETOWN after the flood, and her dismissal from the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs or ICAD would make you wonder if she's really worthy of her title as vice president. If ever she turns out to be the real vice president then is she really doing her job?
Handling the Coronavirus infection is no joke. Some may have recovered but who knows who's more vulnerable and who's not? Ousting Duterte is just a stupid man's solution. Sure, Duterte is very impulsive and needed to be nagged about the temporary China ban. However, that doesn't make Leni Loud automatically more qualified than Duterte. Sure, we can all throw Duterte out of Malacanang but what if Leni Loud sits on the presidential throne UNPREPARED? A change of leadership is not automatically a guarantee of instant improvement. You can always consider the stupidity that replacing a foul-mouthed leader with a decent yet really stupid leader doesn't make a good move, right?
The problem of the Yellowtards is not that they criticize President Duterte but their failure to offer solutions. A real democracy always has the minority with a voice to correct the majority when it's wrong. That was supposedly the job of the Liberal Party now. There was nothing wrong with #OtsoDiretso going to Marawi but choosing to criticize without alternatives was uncalled for. The Yellows should understand that they could still work together with President Duterte for a better Philippines but chose not to. Again, that's the problem of the personality-based presidential system. The Yellows aren't even a real opposition party but just a group of clowns seeking to regain power that they lost since 2016.
When it comes to a calamity - FORGET about your color. That's what the Liberal Party forgot. I think #OtsoDiretso would've probably won if they offered alternatives to getting Marawi repaired than just criticize the slow pace of work. Leni Loud's approval rating wouldn't be dropping if it wasn't for her working separate ways from Duterte. The Liberal Party needs to toss aside their yellow ribbon for the Philippine flag. They need to really just stop thinking about the Aquino and EDSA hype. EDSA is not exclusively theirs. Calamity relief isn't exclusively theirs either.
