Understanding The Temporary Travel Precaution Is Necessary

We need to consider the whole travel ban thing. Sometimes, I wish the government set a bit of a temporary travel ban on Chinese nationals until the nation is fully equipped to fight the Coronavirus. Though, Singapore's latest restriction happens to have a specific ban and not on all Chinese nationals - something Karen Davila missed the point on.

Channel News Asia has now presented the real scope on what Singapore actually did when the ban was imposed:

SINGAPORE: In an effort to minimise the risk of community spread of the Wuhan coronavirus, new visitors of any nationality with recent travel history to mainland China will not be allowed to enter Singapore, Minister for National Development Lawrence Wong said on Friday (Jan 31).

The real issue that Singapore has is with people who had a recent travel history to mainland China. If anything, I guess the Philippine government had done the right thing by TEMPORARILY not evacuating Filipinos in Wuhan. Instead, the Filipinos in Wuhan are asked to temporarily cooperate with the current epidemic control. Filipinos who have currently traveled to mainland China should take time to be quarantined before given permission to return to the Philippines.

Nothing is wrong with raising the concerns about the Coronavirus. However, what Dilawans should've done as members of the Opposition is to see how Singapore handled it. Vice President Leni Loud Robredo may have yet another massive failure of mind. It's not a travel ban to all Chinese nationals but only to Chinese nationals who have recently been to mainland China. Chinese who come from non-epidemic areas are still welcome as long as they don't break any rules in the Philippines. Recently, two Chinese nationals were seen distributing facemasks for Filipinos only when the drugstores are out of them

Read before you comment or you share anything. That's why Adobo Chronicles which is obviously a satire tends to get a lot of views for the wrong reasons. The REAL problem has been people who have recently traveled to Mainland China and Mainland Chinese in the temporary ban - not Chinese nationals as a whole.
