Dilawans Have NO RIGHT To Demand For Election Transparency If They Continue To Support Smartmatic

I guess this is always going to be the problem under a presidential system -- it's always going to be the Marcos vs. Aquino dichotomy or now we have the Liberal Party vs. PDP-Laban dichotomy where only one side is right and the other is automatically wrong. Recently, there's some stupid Yellowtards and their allies who want transparency regarding the elections while still supporting the defective Dumbmatic machines.

It seems that according to ABiaS-CBN -- COMELEC este Comeleak isn't willing to take the suggestion of dumping Smartmatic (or better yet Dumbmatic) entirely from elections. Comeleak says that there's supposed to be "no legal basis" to President Duterte's suggestion. Let's consider the incidents during the Dumbmatic-sponsored elections. Slow, long lines all thanks to Dumbmatic machines that easily overheat. I can remember having to wait for ONE HOUR MORE during the first Dumbmatic-sponsored election. Like WTF why are they supporting a company whose machines would PROLONG election lines and COMPROMISE efficiency and effectiveness?

Would any good businessman buy a cheaper machine at the cost of long-term efficiency and effectiveness? No, but he would rather prefer a machine that would probably cost a little more or even get a more expensive one as long as it has good performance. A businessman has EVERY RIGHT to ban any bidder that's known for producing defective machines. I don't care how expensive the equipment would be if it gives me the desired results all the while I want to pay less for more. It almost reminds me of the argument I had with old folks who continue buying cheaper appliances that break easily in contrast to more costly appliances with good performance. If the machines keep breaking then wouldn't that actually compound one's spending because you had to keep buying for a new one in contrast to cheaper repairs for a more costly yet effective machine? It's a principle of don't compromise quantity for quality and LONG-TERM thinking.

The problem of still remaining in Smartmatic is best considered a band-aid solution. I don't care if voting machines in other countries such as South Korea could be more expensive -- just think about the performance quality. The willingness of Comeleak to still allow Smartmatic to be one of the bidders is stupid. A good businessman will only accept good bidders. Bad bidders need to be kicked out especially if they are known for selling defective products and rendering poor services to customers.
