The Whole Aquino VS. Marcos Dichotomy Is A Huge Stumbling Block To Progress

You don't have to be a political analyst or political science graduate (and neither do I) to understand the problem of the whole Aquino vs. Marcos dichotomy. I remembered how often as an adult did I compare both Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. and Ninoy Aquino to the Transformers villains Megatron (Marcos) and Starscream (Ninoy) -- now it's time to think about the whole Aquino vs. Marcos dichotomy again because of some stupid incident with "economist" Jan Carlos or JC Punongbayan concerning his desire to slam Representative Imelda R. Marcos' newly passed anti-squatting bills which makes him no better than Joey "Squatterman" Lina. It's all because it's associated with Imelda without understanding whether said contribution is valid or not.

So how is the whole Aquino vs. Marcos dichotomy keeping people backward? I don't have to have a high IQ (which I don't) to understand the lack of logic with illogical tweets from people like Cynthia Patag, Jim Paredes, Leah Navarro, Agot Isidro and Frank Baraan IV for starters. Also, I don't have to keep minding Marcostards who are just as stupid as the Aquinotards. This is the problem of many Filipinos today -- one sided stupidity especially with the Aquinotards and Marcostards. It's like the idea that just because you don't like a Marcos or an Aquino doesn't mean that he or she is always wrong in everything they do. It's like Aquinotards would demand for the shutdown of any beneficial project done by Bongbong because he's a Marcos or Marcostards would want to repeal Noynoy's 29 important economic amendments that improved credit rating during the last administration. Also, I guess Marcostards should get rid of Bongbong Marcos too because he desires to end the the whole Marcos vs. Aquino dichotomy once and for all.

It's a real problem when you've got the poor Filipino logic where they'd rather attack the person instead of the argument or because of its source. In other words -- we're dismissing everything from one party and accepting even the blunders of the other party in the name of one-sided politics. It's just like how Marcostards are attacking Bam Aquino not because of him failing to use his brilliant mind in real life situations but solely because he's a nephew of Ninoy or how Aquinotards want to thrash Bongbong because he's a Marcos. So if Bam co-authored certain bills (such as free education or business laws) then I guess Marcostards should have everything that had Bam involved removed. Then Aquinotards can start to motion to have all useful projects done by Bongbong regardless of the benefits they gave. Should we even get rid of the Marcos years projects just because Marcos is a tyrant or should the Romans get rid of the contributions of Julius Caesar that helped improve Rome?

I even want to think -- so what if said person is a Marcos or an Aquino if they have proven useful to the politics. It doesn't matter if we even ban all the Marcoses and Aquinos from entering into politics if the popularity-based, one-sided governance still rules the Philippines. This is the problem of the presidential system -- it's always based on personality-based politics. Bam is only getting skewered because he's an Aquino and Bongbong is still picked on because he's a Marcos. In a parliament, it doesn't matter from which political family you come from -- competency comes first!
