Yellows May Consider Boycotting A Renewed Boracay If Everything President Duterte Does Is An "Act Of Tyranny"
It's been a day after Boracay was opened and six months since its closure. I remembered how some of President Duterte's invalid critics were always criticizing the move to close and rehabilitate Boracay saying that potential revenue would be lost. Others were raising false alarms that Boracay would be sold to China which is also not true. Now it's time to witness the rehabilitation of Boracay. While I'm no solid Duterte supporter myself (he should consider not shooting his mouth off such as his dirty jokes and bad words) and you don't need to be a Duterte supporter to actually agree with the right he does. It's possible to dislike President Duterte while agreeing with whatever right he does such as the no public smoking policy or curfew laws for minors.
This post is not to address people who dislike President Duterte but those who want to discredit him for the right he does. I may not like Noynoy Aquino but I can still agree that his important 29 economic amendments helped the credit rating improve in the previous administration. If everything President Duterte does is wrong then here's what -- boycott Boracay! After all, under whose administration did the long due rehabilitation happen? President Duterte! It's just like that no matter how much I don't like Noynoy but the first two years' economic growth was more on Noynoy and not President Duterte.
So this is what the Yellows should do -- they should boycott Boracay's rehabilitation because it was an "act of tyranny". I'm just using that arrogant prick Frank Baraan's logic against them where he called to boycott Aga Muhlach and other Duterte supporting celebrities. While you don't need to like President Duterte to appreciate the rehabilitation of Boracay (and you can still like Noynoy better and appreciate some good President Duterte does) or for me to like Noynoy to appreciate his 29 economic amendments or the new Mactan International Airport which was sadly left undone due to excessive presidential term limits -- it's a matter of the fact that the Yellows are one-sided in their arguments. It's just about giving credit where credit is due.
