Here's a picture of Jover Laurio herself alongside Stephen Sackur (and this picture is a modification from this article in Get Real Philippines where Antonio Trillanes was the original person on the left). After hearing the interview of Laurio on BBC makes it's safe to assume that she's just lucky that she didn't get interviewed by Sackur himself. I mean, who can remember the rather embarrassing encounter as Sackur made lechon manok out of Trillanes?
I think Sackur would have probably made lechon baboy out of Laurio for this reason. From the same article where I got the picture of Sackur before I decided to replace Trillanes with Laurio said about the whole situation:
Philippine Senator Antonio Trillanes cemented his infamy after his disastrous interview with Stephen Sackur on his BBC program HARDtalk. He became the laughingstock among Netizens for failing to give rational answers to simple questions. It was very obvious that Sackur did his homework in digging up information about Trillanes’s past criminal activities particularly his two failed mutinies against former President Gloria Arroyo. The British presenter did not hesitate to emphasise how Trillanes contradicts himself with his statements against Duterte and his actions in the past.
Sackur managed to expose the truth about Trillanes — that behind the façade, Trillanes does not respect democracy. At one point when asked if he was a democrat, the senator could not comprehend the question and said he was a member of the Nacionalista Party. Trillanes didn’t seem to know what being a democrat means. This made Sackur laugh out loud. Sackur clarified that he was asking if Trillanes believed in democracy. It seems Sackur had to ask that question because Trillanes comes across as someone who cannot respect democratic institutions and democratic exercises like elections. Throughout the interview, Sackur kept reminding Trillanes that Duterte won the election fair and square. The voters overwhelmingly voted for Duterte despite his warning that he will kill those who continue to peddle illegal drugs.
Sackur appeared genuinely baffled as to why Trillanes keeps trying to find ways to remove Duterte from the Presidency even though the majority of the public approves of him and are happy with his performance so far. Sackur also emphasised that the economy is doing well and relations with global powers such as China, Russia and the US are strengthening. But after his failed impeachment bid, Trillanes and his former fellow soldier friend Magdalo Partylist Representative Gary Alejano went straight to the International Criminal Court at The Hague, Netherlands to seek help in prosecuting Duterte.
It's possible that Sackur himself may also expose Laurio as a pseudo-democrat for this reason. He may ask, "Why are you mad that your identity got revealed all the while the Liberal Party wants to unmask all the pro-Duterte bloggers at the same time while many of these blogs like Change Scamming remain anonymous? Isn't that something that democracy shouldn't be?" I can't imagine what kind of answer she will give. Maybe she will try to reason herself that, "Well the Duterte bloggers harassed me and I didn't harass them. They harassed us. We are simply trying to call the government to straighten up."

Can you imagine what if Sackur were the one who interviewed Laurio during her interview last year? This would mean she would get grilled by Sackur's most practical questions. If she's going to be asked, "Are you a democrat?" Chances are, she might even say, "No, I'm from the Liberal Party." Sackur would have probably done his homework about the offensive content of Pinoy Ako Blog or should we call it PIGNoy Ako Blog. Sackur would ask rational questions which Laurio will end up giving a lot of irrational answers.
It's possible that Sackur himself may also expose Laurio as a pseudo-democrat for this reason. Even better, what if Sackur would decide to cite the most preposterous claims one after the other. He grilled Trillanes with his claims. It wouldn't be surprising if he decides to grill Laurio for her claims. He might even go as far as to point out her bullying against Duterte supporters and maybe, just maybe he might even play a footage of Jim Paredes at EDSA. This would be a real heated conversation which could end up with Laurio becoming the next laughing stock of the Philippines. She may even call him "racist" which will further make her the subject of ridicule.
"Sackur would have probably made lechon baboy out of Laurio". She needs to be spit roasted. LMFAO!
