I've Observed Eight Evil Ways On How Failipino Humor Can Be So Offensive!

It's no secret that the Philippines is indeed one of the places where an offensive sense of humor is the norm right? It's all done in the name of "democracy" indeed which sadly, they only have a dysfunctional sense of freedom. Such people think I'm a Communist or a Nazi whenever I fire foul at their offensive sense of humor. The offensive jokes done by many Filipinos is best called as "The Failipino sense of humor" because they fail to consider the mental, financial and/or physical welfare of the person who is the target of their foul sense of humor.

1.) You ask a serious question, they give you non-serious answers

I could remember the time that I needed to have my documents processed and the working student only kept answering me nonsense. Out of anger, I decided to get even with her by actually choking her with my bare hands until she answered properly. Another incident may involve them giving very vague answers like "siya" (which can mean anybody) or "doon" (which can mean anywhere) or "In (insert province)" which only wastes my time. Sad to say but these people that I have actually used violence against are but a microcosm of what's wrong with society.

2.) Attacking people below the belt

There are just some issues that are supposed to be left alone. However, you know in the Philippines, privacy is not really respected. Have you noticed how tactless Vice Ganda is when he talks on television? Have you noticed how tactless Kris Aquino is? I have observed how this offensive sense of humor can be observed from childhood (like the "let's bully the supot" game) to when they grow up. Sometimes when they feel like they are losing they start asking below the belt questions just to win the argument or to get the other person to quit without considering their next opponent might actually stoop lower than they will - that is, use violence on them.

3.) Throwing pranks for one's own benefit

Looking at the "Jay Bee" case as of late, I really want to keep raising the issue of that guy. The fact that he purposely made the delivery man wait so he could get that PHP 200.00 discount was very uncalled for. I noticed how many Filipinos love to throw pranks against their fellow countrymen for their own benefit. Jay Bee's actions is just a good example of that!

4.) The boy who cried wolf jokes a.k.a. false alarms

Do you remember the story of the boy who cried wolf? The story had different variations where in some versions, the boy really died to serve a hard lesson. Sad to say but in real life, Failipinos just love to throw false alarms for the sake of fun. It's really very annoying isn't it? This just reminded me of why I even said, "Go ahead and make fun of the alarm but when it rings, I will let karma hit you!"

5.) Crude jokes about other races

Like it or not, Failipinos tend to be one of the worst racists among Filipinos. If Hitler were a Anomalaryan (a combination of Aryan and anomaly which I made up myself) then the same goes for Failipinos. Try to notice how they love to make fun of other races but get mad when it springs out. For them, they think that they are the master race of the world.

6.) Talking filthy conversations especially at the most inappropriate times

Just think of how irritating it is to be seated on thet able and then you might consider how they talk about inappropriate stuff. Now just think you are at the lunch table and you are enjoying your food which is colored brown. Then somebody tells you that you are eating human waste. Doesn't that ruin your appetite? Just reminded me why I even gave somebody a blackeye out of anger.

7.) Not being serious with one's obligations

I have observed how Failipinos choose to neglect their studies or work. For them, they just want to have fun and have success without working for it. It reminded me of how I had two group mates who just frequently want to have fun and get credit and even if they had work to do, they just wanted to have fun. They would also play the victim card to get what they want.

8.) Getting a laugh out of causing other people their misery

Do you know the Joker from Batman? In some incarnations of the Joker, this guy gets a laugh in every harm he does against other people. In real life, I have seen Failipinos who throw in pranks like putting a glass on your seat, you sit down and you get a scare - they laugh at it. It's basically they laugh because they believe they have dominated the person. When others backfire, it's only natural to get angry because they lose dominance. Get it?

  1. And when Failipinos become the subject of offensive humor, you can expect all sorts of butthurt coming from them (like certain officemates of mine). Talk about "being fair"..... -_- (Wait, when has a Failipino been fair? You can just see it when they try to defend economic protectionism.)
