Bum Aquino Is A Picture Of The Aquinos Relying Too Much On Past Successes

I don't deny that Bum Aquino is a highly intelligent man with charisma. But there's one thing to remember just because people are highly intelligent doesn't mean that they can't throw away common sense. If you remembered the story of the Scholars and the Lion one person of lower intelligence won over the other three who had higher intelligence. You can have degrees in very hard to enter schools such as that Bum himself is a graduate of Ateneo de Manila University which only a few can enter but let's face it that his decision to make a pagpag law isn't an intelligent decision.

Bum is a picture of what I'd call stuck in the past. Sure, he was a student council president. That's part of leadership experience. I won't deny that he's done better in academics than I ever did. Yet, it's not academics that's the ultimate measurement of one's intelligence or stupidity in daily life. You can have a very high IQ yet you still deserve to be called GAGO. Do you remember the time the late Miriam Defensor Santiago called the prosecution gago and hit most of her anger on Neil Tupas? Tupas may have had graduated from another school where only a few survive but he deserved it because he didn't do his job well. Today, Bum deserves to be called GAGO in spite of his intelligence because of his current performance is very questionable.

Supporters of Bum usually focus on his past achievements than his present performance. What good would being student council president do if all he does is waste his time  and perhaps some of the bills he's passed he's just credit grabbing? What good would it be that he knows entrepreneurship better than me who's just a regular self-employed all the while he continues to insist that economic protectionism is better. While it's good to consider what he did in the past but student council president and being a Senator are two different things. His supporters should cite his current achievements and failures. But the problem is that many times people in general tend to focus too much on past successes and failures than present successes and failures.

Pretty much, he deserved to be called "Bum" Aquino because of his political performance. He should stop clinging to the past and focus on the present. Either he dumps the Aquino first policy or he might as well consider saying goodbye to all his past achievements.
