Martial Law Crybabies  who just love to keep blaming the Marcos Years (which by the way weren't the golden years of the Philippines either) for the current difficulty that the Philippines has. True, I want to really also say that the Marcos years did play a factor to why the Philippines fell into deep doo doo economically. The oligarchy was even gaining its roots not only during the the Cory Years but during the Marcos Years -- though we have to remember Carlos P. Garcia's "Filipino First" policy also contributed to that decay. Do the names of Marcos cronies like Lucio Tan and Danding COJUANGCO ring a bell? I remembered that I wrote a speculative post on Antonio Trillanes IV's "confidential trips" to China . Now it would be time to consider how it's highly possible that these confidential trips could actually be related to drug dealing. After all, where would the Philippines get its nearest source of imported shabu but in countries like China, right? Also, where do you think illegal Chinese involved with drug trafficking in the Philippines would come from but from China? What makes me think he could be guilty? It's really amazing how a lack of basic knowledge in economics can keep one's mind in the stone age, doesn't it? Now, I think it's time to tackle with the whole inflation scare that even basic goods are now preposterously expensive. Here's one thing that needs to be said and I'll say it in Tagalog, "Kapag bibili ka sa mall -- talagang mas mahal! Kapag bibili ka sa merkado eh mas mura!" In English for non-Filipino readers, that means, "If you're going to buy at the mall then it's going to be more expensive! If you're going to buy at the public market then it's going to cost less!" It's really that sad how the state of Philippine politics is nothing more than show business politics. That's really the problem of the presidential system -- everything is more focused on popularity than credibility all in the name of "democracy". Unfortunately, majority-based or popularity-based democracies are but tyrannies of the majority . Right now, you may say that Antonio F. Trillanes IV's supporters are a "bullied minority". "Just change the people! Not the system!" says a senile old man. Some people are only in favor of making amendments such as saying that there's no need to change the system -- they just want to implement some minor rules like Noynoy Aquino's 29 business and economic reform laws. Some have gone to antagonize the planned charter change or constitutional reform that both Fidel V. ABS-CBN just won't stop spreading their lies in the form of half-truths, right? Here's something that ABS-CBN has said that Nestle warns that it may shut down due to the TRAIN tax system. However, here's what's revealed that should really put their credibility more in QUESTION. The official statement of Nestle Philippines is that they are NOT planning to move away from the Philippines . Just like the whole manipulated news where ABS-CBN lied that labuyo is now sold for PHP 1,000.00 per kilo in SM -- SM manages to spring itself up by refuting such ridiculous claims! This was revealed by Krizette Laureta Chu  who revealed ABS-CBN's fear-mongering tactics. Is this a desperate attempt to shut down just ANYONE who goes against them? It's getting more and more obvious that  ABS-CBN relies on sensationalism because it will sell more than the truth. The biased (yet claims not to be biased) mainstream media OR the retailers themselves who have the real prices? The actual photo from SM Supermarket shows that the claim of even chili has reached up to PHP 1,000.00 per kilo is BOGUS. It's absolutely bogus beyond bogus. SM Mall only sells them up to PHP 31.50 retail price so how can it reach up to PHP 1,000.00 per kilo unless it's a super rare breed of chili? What causes inflation? Again, do you even bother to read the whole issue of SUPPLY AND DEMAND ? Also, not everything economically good under Noynoy was fully Noynoy's and the same goes for President Duterte himself.
