I just read the news where President Duterte threatened to replace UP students who keep walking out of classes to attend rallies with removing their slots in favor of bright Lumads. Here's what President Duterte said which is translated from Visayan:
These UP students who keep on walking out, earlier, they walked out. Okay. Those who don’t want to go to school, get out because I will bring the bright lumads there, I will enroll them there in UP. A lot of Filipinos want a good education.
So those who keep on demonstrating, don’t walk out of the rooms. I will give you a privilege, don’t go to school for a year because I will let all the Filipinos who want a good education in—it’s free there.

The truth of the matter is taxpayers' money is used for state-sponsored education. But what do these particular set of U.P. students do? They waste it by walking out of the classes that they should be attending -- instead of joining those stupid rallies.
What I suggest is that such a group of brats should be expelled from school. They are joining in life-threatening activities. These rallies are most likely organized by criminal groups that should be arrested and jailed for disturbing public peace and order. They don't deserve the tax money of Filipinos and they shouldn't benefit from free education that they just waste by attending rallies.
The same should also go for teachers who are involved in activism. They too should be expelled for wasting taxpayers' money. Instead of shaping up the youth for the better -- they are shaping them up for the worse.

There must be a law that those students(especially coming from State and Public educational institutions) joining protest during class hours must not only be expelled from their respective schools/colleges/universities, they must be also banned from studying at Philippine-made institutions(regardless of type(brick and mortar or distance learning)) & their school records(From elementary to current level) must be declared void and invalid.
ReplyDeleteWe need authoritarian government to have very strict teachers to discipline students from colleges like U.P.. If they made rallies, then strict teachers would give them failing grades, or to give them explusion.
ReplyDeleteWe need obedience of the strict government and strict teachers, in expense of personal freedoms. Give students hard work until they are tired.
Strict discipline is necessary!
