It's really stupid for somebody to say that foreign direct investors (FDI) are invaders. How many times do I need to tell them that but they still believe it? Then you've got stupid idiots who really dare believe that the OFW phenomenon is in the name of conquest. In the name of conquest? Please, has nations where OFWs been sent now bowing down to the Philippines? If that were true then why didn't President Xi Jinping from China bow down to Noynoy Aquino and President Rodrigo R. Duterte during his visits to the Philippines? Why didn't Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad bow down to Duterte when he arrived in the Philippines while there are OFWs in Malaysia? It's because OFW phenomenon is NOT Filipinos taking over the world.
The bizarre irony of claiming OFWs are world conquest and that foreign investors are invaders is this. Where are the countries where OFWs are mostly sent to? Those countries that they're sent to happen to be first world countries that benefited greatly from FDI. The lie that only FDIs get rich is the common boogeyman used by manipulative businessmen to scare the ignorant masses. Obviously, the more economically illiterate you are - the more you are prone to believe it. National self-industrialization? If that were true then tell me why are undeveloped islands still undeveloped islands? Just think that for a second if it weren't for countries that greatly benefited from FDIs then where in the world would the Philippines send its OFWs to supposedly "conquer" it?
Let's name a few countries where OFWs are sent to "conquer" it. The United States of America progressed through FDI. FDI is NOT the reason why the U.S. is now failing but on reckless spending and the rise of welfare state policies. Modern Japan rose up not because of closing its doors to the world but by international trade. The Meiji era was a prosperous era for Imperial Japan because it opened its doors to foreign traders. China was once very poor but it was Deng Xiaoping's policies that caused it to progress. Why are OFWs sent to South Korea instead of North Korea? The difference goes beyond democracy and communism. South Korea is a capitalist country that greatly benefits from FDIs. As I love to joke that those anti-capitalist bozos should be using North Korea's Koryolink instead of South Korea's Samsung.
The countries where OFWs are sent in greatly benefit from FDI so why is it that the protectionist clause is still in the Philippines? The obvious answer has to be all about the self-interest of the communists and the oligarchs. They only claim to do it for "nationalism" but it isn't. If they were truly so nationalistic why are they using imported products to promote their nonsense? You expect me to seriously take protectionist advocates as they use imported equipment to promote their nonsense? "Nationalism" is nothing more than a facade. The reality has to be that oligarchs and communists only want power. Maybe, it's time to call communism as CONmunism because it's all a con job. Communism only benefits those who sit in power while ignoring the people stupid enough to believe their lies. Abolished capitalism? Well, they didn't because what they did was to simply limit capitalism's benefits for themselves. Luring lazy people into fighting for "justice" only benefits the greedy people who run the organization. In fact, even their organization isn't all equal considering that communist goons don't get the same amount of wealth as those in power, right?
