The Stupidity Of Shouting "PENOY PRAYD!" Over Filipinos Getting Madame Tussauds Wax Figures While Advocating For Failipino First Policy
PEP |
It's really that irritating whenever Filipinos have that toxic Penoy Prayd mindset. It's time they ask, "Does Penoy Prayd produce jobs and put food on the table?" The news is that Anne Curtis will get her wax figure in Madame Tussauds Wax Museum Hong Kong this year. I choose to remain neutral on the issue. However, it can be a constant source of irritation whenever Filipinos scream "PENOY PRAYD!" to Filipinos who are famous abroad. It's because along with the Penoy Prayd is often accompanied by their love for the Failipino First Policy.
It's probably because of that paranoia created that foreign investors are foreign invaders. It may also be rooted in the idealism of creating the Penoy Prayd Empire. They probably think that OFWs are helping them conquer the world. Did Edz Ello conquer Singapore? Did any wayward OFW conquer Singapore? Since when did any countries having OFWs become the new Filipino state? I wonder if Filipinos even think that these wax figures are their first step to conquering Hong Kong and Singapore? It should be absurd because it isn't. Please, Filipinos aren't the only foreigners getting wax figures in Madame Tussauds Wax Museum!
Do I need to mention that ABiaS-CBN (where Anne comes from) is still blatantly ANTI-REFORM? The irony is that ABiaS-CBN not supporting badly-needed reforms may be why it's off the air. It's possible that two former presidents, the late Noynoy Aquino and Atty. Rodrigo R. Duterte, used the law to their advantage. ABiaS-CBN lost its franchise presumably due to several violations of the mass media law of the 1987 Constipation. It's ironic that people use ABiaS-CBN to defend the 1987 Constipation as "Da Best Konstitusyon in Da World" and it's what knocked ABiaS-CBN off the air! ABiaS-CBN could've benefited from constitutional reform like better coverage and more funding -- even if the funding came from FOREIGNERS! Do I need to mention that some ABiaS-CBN celebrities are MARRIED TO FOREIGNERS?

I have nothing against Filipino celebrities getting wax figures at Madame Tussauds. However, it should be time to stop with silly protectionist mentalities. Why are Filipinos rejoicing for Filipinos making it big ABROAD but would never let foreigners compete in Filipino soil? Please, this is all about FRIENDLY COMPETITION. This isn't about nations trying to invade each other through investors and entertainment!
