My Imagined Scenario Of Roxas-Trillanes Administration's Final SONA: Speech Only, Nothing Achieved

I remembered a couple of Roxas-Trillanes posts that I wrote. One of the jokes I wrote are the achievements of President Manuel A. Roxas II and Vice President Antonio F. Trillanes IV. I was wondering what their SONA would be. Somehow, SONA would really mean Speech Only, Nothing Achieved. A lot of events happened in 2016-2021 - can you imagine what if Roxas and Trillanes were the ones sitting at the Malacanang?

It was already scary to think that COVID-19 hit last 2020. Now, think about how Ulysses hit during COVID-19 too. I remembered even writing a post asking if the Philippines can really survive the COVID-19 pandemic under the rule of Roxas and Trillanes. One of the possibilities that could happen is a COVID-19 vaccine armageddon. Vaccines can SAVE LIVES but the wrong kinds of vaccines will KILL YOU. That's why the COVID-19 vaccines had to be tested whether or not they are effective and safe. That's why vaccination check-ups are necessary. I think the two of them would just hastily get whatever vaccine is available without having tested its efficacy. They will vaccinate fast and furious until almost everyone gets severe symptoms of COVID-19 rather than give them mild symptoms to trigger the body's immune response.

My imagined scenario is that Roxas will probably throw the blame game again. Chances are that after one colossal blunder after the other - Roxas and Trillanes will probably blame all their favorite targets. Vaccine armageddon? They will probably blame Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo or Bobong Marcos. The rapid spread of COVID-19 to the point it mutated millions of times? They would most likely blame this and that but not the public. They would probably even Gloria (again) and maybe all their political rivals for the rapid spread of COVID-19 than their lack of clear policies.

This also shows the problem of the presidential system. A Roxas-Trillanes coalition government wouldn't be much of a problem with the parliamentary system. It's because the parliamentary system would have the coalition opposition (PDP-Laban, LAKAS) to hold them accountable. Under a parliamentary system, both Roxas and Trillanes would've to answer the opposition and the public. It would really be more useful to shift to parliamentary before this kind of scene can happen.
