The election is just around the corner next year. I mean, it's 2021, and 2022 is FAST APPROACHING. One could think of the performance of the Liberal Party since 2016 and how it actually FAILED. 2016 was the year when Rodrigo R. Duterte and Leni Loud Robredo became president and vice president. Honestly, I don't care anymore about Bobong Marcos' electoral protest either. It's almost 2022. However, a bit of a history lesson will really be good concerning the Liberal Party's failures. The Liberal Party is really a good picture of how NOT to do politics! They didn't get what they want and that was Mar Roxas for president. Instead, they only got half of what they wanted with Leni Loud. They could've begun by trying to prove themselves better than Duterte. Instead, they shot themselves at the foot WAY TOO MANY TIMES.
One needs to question their use of social media for a start. After Duterte sat, the Liberal Party started to have its promotions done with the likes of Jover Laurio's Pignoy Ako Blog. It wasn't just Pignoy Ako Blog but we also had Change Scamming, Silent No More, and Madam Claudia. We also have Cocoy Dayao who has resurfaced a few times after he got leaked. The crass stupidity of these pages is amazing and arguing with theml is useless. Yet, they stuck with Jover. The principal sponsors for Jover's wedding included many of the Yellows and Antonio Trillanes IV. Jover tries to say she's "non-partisan" but her actions prove otherwise. The leaked boosts from Kris Aquino are but one. It seems Jover also has payments from other sources such as Antonio Trillanes IV or maybe even Leni Loud herself. Though, it also seems Jover is allied with Filipino communists too.
Who can remember the top overacting behavior last 2017? It really was funny to see them "set a wake" by saying that democracy "died" last September 21 that year. the stunt was just the beginning of their stupidity. The alliance they had with the likes of Jim Paredes, Leah Navarro, Cynthia Patay, and Agot Isidro was also rather stupid. For a start, these people just rant on and on without thinking ONE BIT. Didn't they forget that Jim's behavior in EDSA was anything but called for? It's crazy to defend Jim's behavior by saying that he didn't say words like "p*tangina" or whatever bad words came out of Duterte's mouth. Jim's behavior could've called out. Instead, supporters of Jim decided to defend him like he's a decent guy. Are Yellowtard tantrums really decent and Dutertard tantrums really indecent? They tried to appear decent but they only proved one thing - their deceny is nothing more than theatrics.
2019 came and the senatorial race came in. They created the platform called #OtsoDiretso. Again, the problem isn't that they're in the opposition. The problem kicked in when their platform failed to prove themselves better. It's not wrong for them to see the slow progress in Marawi - the problem was that they didn't give alternatives. The theatrics played at the seaside were another - did they forget that Noynoy Aquino made a hyperbole that he would be ran by a train? It's too obvious Noynoy was joking about him getting hit by the train or Duterte has a crude sense of humor. They could've won if they presented their alternatives to the ongoing problems. Instead, sticking to theatrics and not supporting constitutional reform caused them to lose their relevance.
One has to wonder does the Liberal Party still have its chances of winning as 2022 draws near? They had six years to prove themselves but didn't. Now, they're simply trying another stunt with Leni Loud herself. They're prepping up Leni Loud with the same stunts as Mar. They should've noted that Mar lost the presidential and the 2019 senatorial race because of the use of theatrics. Their lack of solutions really became their undoing. Besides, would've they supported charter change - they would've had a better voice at the weekly question hour than they have today!
