Yellowtardism's INCREDIBLY MASSIVE Failure Of The Mind

The recent results of the Pulse Asia Survey had revealed that Vice President Leni Loud Robredo is now at a low shrinking rate. Her last known approval rating was 57% which is still considered safe in contrast to Donald J. Trump's approval rating. Yellowtardism is not just a failure of the mind, it's not just a massive failure of the mind -- it's an INCREDIBLY MASSIVE failure of the mind one way or another! You can really think of how the failure of the mind is still on display right now. Yet, it was years of the collective failure of the mind even before the second Aquino administration. Sure, Noynoy Aquino did some things right such as continuing some of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's economic programs as stated by The Asian Correspondent. However, we need to realize that their refusal to actually see the big problem is the SYSTEM in itself really leads to Yellowtardism's INCREDIBLY MASSIVE failure of the mind.

There was the call to replace the HURRIEDLY WRITTEN 1987 Constitution during the time of Fidel V. Ramos. The writers of the new law should've seen more of the defects of the 1973 Constitution BEFORE even finalizing the new constitution such as the rampant economic protectionism. Ramos was soon demonized by the media as wanting to become another Marcos. The call to shift to parliamentary has been demonized (again) saying that it will give rise to another Marcos-type dictatorship. What's often ignored by the Yellowtards is that their beloved hero, Ninoy Aquino, had actually revealed in his speech in Boston that the Marcos Years were a mock parliamentary. Ninoy revealed in that same speech that Marcos' parliamentary was a mockery at best. It's because a real parliamentary system only has a CEREMONIAL president that's elected to serve as a unifying figure. The 1987 Constitution could've been better if it were parliamentary -- having the late Corazon "Cory" C. Aquino as the Head of State (President) while having Fidel V. Ramos as the Head of Government (Prime minister). Cory herself was the widow of a senator and was a unifying figure instead of leading EDSA. You really have to wonder why they didn't think Cory could've been used as a CEREMONIAL figure while those who really architected the fall of Marcos could've served as the first parliament? Instead, they opted for yet another presidential-protectionist regime which was a band-aid solution for Marcos' dictatorship. The proposal to limit presidential terms by just ONE SINGULAR TERM is but a band-aid solution. The same move to amend the constitution was done by Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo but it was later again, DEMONIZED. Sure, I don't like Arroyo but so many misconceptions against the parliamentary system were raised AGAIN.

The time for the Noynoy "golden years" came. Sure, the economy started to get strong under Noynoy but do the apologists know WHY it got strong? The talk of "Daang Matuwid" came into the picture. Many were saying that the Philippines was no longer the Sick Man of Asia. The Sick Man of Asia? There are countries doing much worse than the Philippines such as North Korea. Sure, Noynoy was NOT by any means a Marcos. I may have compared Noynoy to Mao Zedong but one should notice the differences. Unlike Mao, Noynoy did have some economic plans and invited investors over. Noynoy didn't do anything to close the Philippines to the rest of the world. The talk came that they were open to giving Noynoy a second term. However, they didn't realize that they could've gotten what they wanted IF the Philippines shifted to full parliamentary. Instead, they decided that the "best solution" was six years under Noynoy, six years under Mar Roxas, and six years under Leni Loud Robredo. The Noynoying years came to an end and came in the Duterte Administration.

The Duterte Administration finally kicked in and every administration has its ISSUES. I'm amazed at how the Yellowtards want to hold President Rodrigo R. Duterte accountable by becoming the informal opposition. It's not wrong to have an opposition. The big problem finally kicked in when we see that the president and vice president are usually from TWO OPPOSING PARTIES. One even has to laugh at how Leni Loud can't even decide on her position as either leading the opposition or being the vice president. I wonder if Leni Loud is even willing to become the president with Bongbong Marcos as her vice president? Wouldn't it be better if Leni Loud is the prime minister and Bongbong is the opposition leader? They want to hold Duterte accountable but the current 1987 Constitution doesn't have the tools needed to do so. They still want to demonize the parliamentary system. Other Yellowtards are still saying there are no elections under the parliamentary system. On the contrary, there are elections under the parliamentary system where people VOTE BY PARTIES which list out the positions aspired by the people in it. For example, PDP-Laban may have Sara Duterte as its lead for the prime minister and Liberal Party can let Noynoy run as its prime minister again. The only term limits in the parliamentary system are not in the number of times you can hold office BUT whether or not one is still QUALIFIED to hold office. If Noynoy is still qualified to hold office then why not? The same applies to candidates that as long as they're qualified then why bar them from having more terms?

Is being a Duterte critic really their problem? Nope, the big problem of the Yellowtards is when they fail to see that the SYSTEM is the problem. Can they have a high guarantee that if ever Leni Loud sits that she will turn the Philippines into the strongest economy? The big issue as always is that they haven't seen how the parliamentary system could've benefited them too. They could've had their REAL ROLE as the Minority Floor. Instead, they're probably all too obsessed with getting the majority votes back rather than giving the minority a real voice. Do I need to emphasize that democracy is not a government only for the majority but OF THE PEOPLE? True, the majority wins BUT the minority has a voice. A parliamentary system would've given them a win-win scenario regardless of what floor they're on. Instead, they just want dominion all over again never mind that their ratings are SLIPPING off the majority scale! Instead, they decided to further make crazy moves such as #OtsoDiretso rather than support the shift to the parliamentary system. What's next? Have Jover Laurio, Jim Paredes, Leah Navarro, Agot Isidro, and Cynthia Patag all run for office when they're but KNOW NOTHINGS?

The failure of the mind was further magnified by ABiaS-CBN's massive failure of the mind. Both Rappler and ABiaS-CBN got their demotions because of guess what -- the 1987 Constitution! I don't really mind if Maria Ressa or Gabby Lopez are American citizens as long as they behave. Shouldn't their citizenship be IRRELEVANT in doing business and that they should be sacked only if they break any ethical code of law in business? Watching BBC HARDtalk's interview with Ressa had Stephen Sackur reveal the hard truth that Rappler is NOT shut down. ABiaS-CBN is not shut down either. If ABiaS-CBN were shutdown then why am I still able to subscribe to their Youtube channel or why do they still exist as a company? Their franchise was denied because they violated the law they so defended. I don't think there's anything wrong if ABiaS-CBN (or any company in the Philippines) has a dual citizen of a chairman or if it receives foreign investment. If ABiaS-CBN supported the complete removal of 60-40 then think it could've probably decided to forego the government franchise because digital technology will be its new platform. ABiaS-CBN could've continued with the free airwaves regardless of foreign investments it received. They should've just supported economic charter change before. Just think that the Philippines could've had better Internet, they could get foreign funding legally, and that they could've had their franchise still. Unfortunately, ABiaS-CBN kept opposing it until their beloved 1987 Constitution finally boomeranged on their faces. Yet, they still want to defend it when it caused them to lose their beloved network's franchise?

Is it me or are Yellowtards just fond of SHOOTING THEIR OWN FOOT? The massive failure of mind of the Yellowtards can be summarized as this -- insanity is doing the same thing ALL OVER AGAIN while expecting different results! The Yellowtards should really consider changing their system, support constitutional reform, and maybe they can really recover. If not, they have no one but THEMSELVES to blame for their own failures.
