The Stupidity Of #BoycottAga For His Political Views While Praising Yellowtard Celebrities' Political Views

This just in, there's a current move to #BoycottAga over the Internet after he criticized Senator Antonio Trillanes IV. Worse, Atty. Asus (because his real first name is too good for him) Falses a Yellow supporter now committed a double-standard by telling Muhlach this statement which I'll translate in English for non-Filipino speakers, "You are just a celebrity -- you know nothing about politics!" Hmmm why tell Muhlach that all the while you've got the Yellowtards praising idiot celebrities on their side for their political views against President Duterte or anyone who's not on their side for that matter?

Well it's time to throw back the argument at them by asking to why they praise the Yellowtard celebrity views. Agot Isidro herself is just like Muhlach (and I once enjoyed their tandem together) with the fact that they are both celebrities. Does being a celebrity mean one is automatically disqualified to talk about politics? Do you have to be a political analyst (which I'm not) to air one's views? Not at all. It's all about having researched in detail before airing or sharing one's views about politics. Anybody has the right and duty to criticize anybody in power for their shortcomings. However, one must always be careful of not only how to give criticism but also whether or not said criticism is valid. By going with Falses himself then the Yellowtard celebrities' arguments should be rendered invalid.

Leah Navarro, Jim Paredes, Cynthia Patag and Agot have their right to criticize President Duterte as dictated by the freedom of speech. The problem is not them being celebrities but their erroneous arguments when they offer their criticism. Navarro's criticism of President Duterte has her showing she has misplaced priorities and that she may have purposely ignored the fact that the president hurriedly returned to the Philippines due to the Marawi attack. Jim Paredes also shows his utter lack of common sense when he said that Noynoy Aquino is "better" for not declaring martial law in the Zamboanga siege instead of analyzing why Congress even approved martial law for Marawi in the first place. Also, Patag's claims about Davao City being "underdeveloped" has her making faulty assumptions than having real research data. That's why their arguments are invalid to start with. It's not because they're celebrities but their real lack of research. Paredes, Navarro and Isidro do have a lot of homework to do before they even think of running for office!

I guess one of the biggest problems of the poor Filipino logic is the use of personal attacks. Rather than focus on the argument -- they choose to focus on the person instead. The use of personal attacks proves you're losing disgracefully. Rather than accept the loss -- the Yellowtards will continue to try to "win" by whatever means necessary even if it means turning to desperate measures such as attacking persons instead of arguments.
