When Will Anti-Reform Kakampinks See That "Da Best Konstitusyon In Da World" Made It Legal For BOBONG Marcos To Become The 17th President?!

It's really annoying when you talk to ANTI-REFORM Kakampinks. Okay, some Kakampinks (formerly known as DILAWANS) have been fighting for reforms. Economist Andrew J. Masigan and the late Carlos Celdran are among them. I even heard that Rep. Stella Quimbo of the Liberal Party has been a proponent of reform. However, there are still some Kakampinks who are still convinced with what Hilarious Davide had to say. Davide said that the 1987 Constitution needs no amendment as it's Da Best in Da World. Right? Well, if there was really nothing wrong with the system then what allowed former crown prince Bobong Marcos to become the 17th president? The answer is none other than the 1987 Constitution of the Philippines!

When anti-reform Kakampinks still insist that the Marcos Empire was under a parliamentary system so they defend the

Talk to them about the need for a parliamentary system and they're bound to keep saying, "But the Marcos Years were a parliamentary! Mauulit lang noong 1973!" Please, that's getting old because only MORONS like that MORON Jason VOORHEES would comment like that! I remembered the argument that VOORHEES kept saying that parliamentary systems will make things worse. VOORHEES' line of reasoning is just plain stupid. Once again there was a "prime minister" and Cesar Virata was a NON-LEADER. The late Lee Kuan Yew would know better how a real parliamentary system runs. Meanwhile, VOORHEES' reasoning can go as stupid as this:

In presidential, we also have your incessant “weekly grilling” but only between the spokesperson and the media in malacanang palace. However, that spokesperson is the alter ego of the president, means to say whatever statement that spokesperson had spoken to the media, it is as if the official statement coming from the president himself. And every weekly grilling were recorded by the media and some of them were published in their news outlet visible anytime by the public’s eyes regarding their statement. You know, even if Malacanang’s statement were as bad as you think you can imagine, that would make them look pathetic, and they received flak from the public already, still they will not resign and will make a lot of excuses. And their allies in the Congress will not do anything about it. They just let it pass. Perhaps they would conduct a little investigation, but they will not entertain any impeachment proceeding. That’s how thick skin our politicians have. And you expect they will not do the same in your parliamentary system? You should wager big money if you think they will change. As I said Filipino politicians are unique of their own, one of the worse in the world. It is embarrassing to expect our politicians to do the same acts as those of developed countries who have a sense of honor, shame, and accountability in their DNAs.

Well, it's really time to think that the presidential system is a winner-takes-all scenario. Who was topping the polls during the whole Bobong vs. Atty. Leni Loud Robredo run? Bobong, right? Right now, I do feel Leni Loud really won the vice presidential polls last 2016. I believe that Bobong won the presidential polls in 2022. The issue has been a winner-takes-all scenario. Most people tend to think that a democracy is a government of the majority ruling the minority. However, a simple definition of democracy is a government OF THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE, AND BY THE PEOPLE.

Since they wanted to continue defending the presidential system - they get what they want. They get a winner-takes-all scenario except that IT WASN'T IN THEIR FAVOR. Leni Loud lost the 2022 presidential race and she's back to simply Atty. Leni Loud Robredo. Some of them even say, "The whole world knows Leni Loud was cheated!" I wonder where the evidence is that Leni Loud was cheated? The result of their fighting to defend the presidential form of government is because "Parliamentary daw noong Marcos Empire" - they get the results. The presidential system allowed an IDIOT like Bobong to win because he got popular.

Kakampinks need to see how the parliamentary system would've benefited their cause

A real parliamentary system would've not been like the Empire of Marcos. The late Ninoy Aquino's description of a parliamentary without a parliament is very fitting. The late Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. established his majestic Imperial Parliament which only served for show. The 1973 Constitution in itself was still PRESIDENTIAL even with a parliament. Virata was nothing more than an executive assistant to Emperor Marcos himself. A real parliamentary system would've placed both the Government and the Opposition on two opposite ends. The Kakampinks today would still HAVE A VOICE as the Liberal Party serves as the official Opposition. Instead, they didn't have it because the Philippines is still under a PRESIDENTIAL SYSTEM.

If they just did some simple research - IT'S EVER EASY TO BECOME THE PRIME MINISTER. I doubt that the late Noynoy Aquino would've been prime minister just because his mother (who would only serve as a symbolic Head of State in parliament) passed away of natural causes. I doubt it that Bimby Aquino Yap or Joshua Aquino would win seats in parliament just because Uncle Noynoy passed away. The same can go for Bobong. I really believe that Bobong is just a Boy Recto - not a good sign for a candidate to be prime minister. Then even if Bobong does become prime minister- can he really survive any REAL weekly grilling and not just the presses?

Fortunately, some Kakampinks are already open-minded. Pro-reform Kakampinks would help the Liberal Party become RELEVANT again. Meanwhile, anti-reform Kakampinks who still insist that nothing is wrong with the constitution and that it's the best in the world are only chewing themselves.
