Do Pasaway "Thought Leaders" Even Know The Basics Of Business Management?

Coincidence or not?

I'm totally amazed at how pasaway "thought leaders" are now taking their rants as it's 2022. Elections are around the corner. I was thinking of the pasaway "thought leaders" such as Jover Laurio of Pignoy Ako Blog (who is revealed be a paid hack of an attack boar), Rep. Sarah Jane I. Elgago of Kayabangan Partylist, Neri Colmenares of Bayad Muna, Gerry Cacanindin (whose nonsense tweets are now used to promote Leni Loud Robredo's candidacy), and many more. I couldn't help but think about this one - what do they even know about running a business? That is one question anybody must ask about those pasaway "thought leaders". 

Let's do a review of 2020-2021, shall we?

Politicizing was pretty much done during the pandemic. I guess pasaway "thought leaders" were expecting the government to do the impossible by ending the pandemic. There were already set rules but they were broken. It's stupid that they berated former PNP Chief Debobo Sinas' birthday surprise (which was but in his house) while the whole University of the Philippines-Diliman (UP-Diliman) campus was FILLED WITH PEOPLE. Gerry even went as far as to suggest that the rallies (daw) didn't lead to an increase in COVID-19 cases. This is laughable with all their so-called rationale for rallying during a pandemic. They rally and they rally then they complain that COVID-19 cases increase. I may not agree with Manila Times' Rigoberto Tiglao's view on foreign investments. However, Tiglao was RIGHT to blame the Filipino communists and ABiaS-CBN for the SURGE in COVID-19 cases. I agree of much of what he said that social distancing and the like can't be enforced in a HUGE CROWD as that.

I still think about Gerry's "solution" if he were president. Honestly, the guy's plan would require a LOT OF BUDGET. Massive sanitation drives, temporary hospitals, suspend rent and mortgage, etc. Don't they really cost A LOT OF MONEY? Where is he even going to get the money? Rent is a source of income for landlords. Landlords have to declare their rental income monthly for VAT and the quarterly tax. Suspend rent? How is he even going to finance his project? Suspend mortgage? Banks may soon close. The guy clearly has no basic idea about running a business.

2021 finally came and community pantries were established. Now, the stupidity kicked in not because of the pantries but because of pasaway "thought leaders". The pantries were then POLITICIZED by the pasaway "thought leaders" by making it look like that the government failed to do its part. Commie youth groups even dared groceries to give their stuff for free. Do they even think that the pantries magically *poof* gave their food for free? If so, they have no idea how to run a business. Pantry owners would go the groceries to BUY the food for the pantry. It's like a charity organization gets money, goes to the grocery, the grocery sells to the charity organization, and the charity organization gives away the food to the less fortunate. However, if the groceries gave their items for free then how can they pay back their suppliers? They showed their lack of ignorance of something as simple as the SUPPLY CHAIN. If the groceries can't pay the wholesalers then what can they sell as retailers? 

Jover even praised her ninang Leni Loud over free food. Free food? There's no such thing as free lunch in reality. The problem of giving free lunches will soon create another Venezuela lining up for food. In China, Mao Zedong's idealistic stupidity only created a nation of starving people. I guess Jover is too used to her getting paid to write her MALICIOUS content. I guess the same goes for the likes of Cocoy Dayao who was the webmaster of many of those sites like Change Scamming and Silent No More PH. I guess they are too used to getting handed over tons of money or PABoosts. Jover had a lot of PAboosts which I think she might be too used to hand-to-mouth existence. That makes you wonder what does she known about running a business?

This makes me think of the whole headache that they think that constitutional reform should come later after COVID-19. I'm amazed at how these "thought leaders" like Jover and Gerry are talking and talking about how "great" Leni Loud really is. Okay, I must admit that Leni Loud did graduate from the UP-Diliman School of Economics. However, we must also take note that IBON Foundation's current head, Sonny Africa, is a graduate from the LONDON SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS, yet he arrogantly espouses communist economic ideals that China has long since abandoned. Toady Casino is a graduate from UP-Los Banos and Neri Colmenares is from UP-Diliman. Education doesn't always mean one is better either way. These guys just rant and rant that COVID-19 should be fixed first before changing the constitution.

Unfortunately, the constitution is really the BIG STUMBLING BLOCK. It's like how a hospital with a poor system can't expect patients to recover. Can you imagine if you said we should wait for the patients to recover before we do anything about the failing system? All the patients will eventually die. COVID-19 has proven that the 1987 Constitution isn't the best in the world. Yet, for pasaway "thought leaders" - they still want to make it out to be. They still insist in many lies that we need to retain 60-40 or that the Philippines should self-industrialize. It's really a headache reading all their rants against foreign investments. The same OLD RANTS PROVEN WRONG are still said all over again. I'm amazed that they still promote it even after scholarly studies have proven them WRONG.

The lie such as "foreign invasion" and "only foreign investors will get rich" has been proven WRONG. Yet, they either still believe it to try to promote it while they hypocritically could be using an iPhone and a MAC Pro. Members of the CPP-NPA have been using MAC Pro notebooks to recruit people. The irony is that they hate capitalism but they sure LOVE its products. If foreign investors were invaders or only foreign investors get rich - they clearly haven't read the labor code. Foreign investors are just like tenants in any commercial building. Did the tenants take over the mall? Foreign investors are still required to be registered and PAY TAXES. In short, foreign investors are required to submit to local las wherever they do. Just take a look at how China progressed for an example. Did China progress during Mao's time or during Deng Xiaoping's time? Deng chose to follow the late Lee Kuan Yew's economic model to help China progress economically. 

Any entrepreneur isn't afraid of competition. The late John Gokongwei knows economics - something Hilarious Davide is sadly woefully ignorant about. Any entrepreneur sees not only competition but also MORE CUSTOMERS. Any entrepreneur sees that the competitor of their customer is a potential new customer. Small and medium businesses with a keen eye won't look at foreign investments as a threat but as an opportunity. For example, a local business may benefit greatly from a faster Internet connection, better transportation services, and more customers because of free markets. Deng even said that it doesn't matter if the cat is black or white if it does catch mice. Does it matter (really) if the business is foreign or local? What truly matters is that the business is able to give jobs, good services, good products, taxes, and just about every benefit it can to its host country.

The woeful ignorance of pasaway thought leaders is really there. You can just think if they were truly that good then why haven't they truly alleviated poverty? Why is it that small businesses that they claim to help haven't grown at all? Did they even produce jobs for the jobless? Did they give better livelihoods for OFWs? The answer is all NO! Clearly, they know NOTHING about business management in real life!
