The Need To Address The Noynoy-COVID-19 Epidemic

I remembered a bit of "fact check" I made (note that I'm NOT a fact-checker) where Noynoy Aquino just had a flu. It was later said that Noynoy was moved to an ICU for security reasons last December 2019. Chances are (if ever) is that Noynoy himself may have been the first Filipino to contract COVID-19 and nobody was told about it. There's no record of his current travel history if he did go to Wuhan or any areas of the People's Republic of China - it's all a speculation waiting to be proven or disproven. However, with COVID-19 being also called NCOV (which means New Coronavirus) - I decided to make a fictitious virus called Noynoy-COVID-19 based on the incident that Noynoy had flu. Don't look it up at medical websites since the term Noynoy-COVID-19 is not recognized by any medical organization in the Philippines or abroad. I'd want to imagine that Noynoy caught COVID-19 and recovered while the virus left from his body in a new form called the Noynoy-COVID-19.

Just hearing that the Enhanced Community Quarantine will be extended is disheartening. However, one needs to consider that maybe the people are at a bigger fault than the government. True, President Duterte should've imposed the travel ban earlier (considering China imposed it first on its citizens) but people are probably more to blame. What's my biggest thing to blame? It's because COVID-19 may not be the biggest threat that's endangering Filipinos. Rather, I'd say that the Noynoy-COVID-19 is that MUCH BIGGER THREAT than the recent global pandemic. A recent report from South China Morning Post has it that Singapore has its COVID-19 numbers gone from 100 to 1000. Did Pasaway OFWs contribute to it? It's because some OFWs in Singapore are just that HARD-HEADED. If so, they may have brought the Noynoy-COVID-19 to Singapore too.

What symptoms should the government watch out for people to know if it's COVID-19 or Noynoy-COVID-19? COVID-19 has the symptoms of fever, cough, breath shortness, persistent chest pain, and bluish lips or face. The last two would have it that you need to SEEK medical help immediately. However, the symptoms of Noynoy-COVID-19 do have their complications. People who have Noynoy-COVID-19 will display more symptoms than people who have COVID-19.

Below is a chart from Thinking Pinoy to which might help us classify the symptoms of Noynoy-COVID-19:

Above show the five kinds of people that we need to watch out for. COVID-19 patients are either PUI or PUM. However, Noynoy-COVID-19 are people who are either PPK, PAU, or PPR. They may not necessarily carry the COVID-19 in their bodies but they could be carrying Noynoy-COVID-19 in their bodies. The three varities of the virus are PPKs are those who refrain from practicing necessary social distancing, PAUs are people who don't want to follow simple guidelines, and PPRs are people who do nothing but complain. Other symptoms would include an irrational fear of law enforcement where they view military and police intervention to be automatically signs of repression. It makes me wonder would they rather trust the criminals than the cops? Would they rather have criminals helping out during the COVID-19 epidemic than law enforcement? Do they even realize law enforcers who break the law should already be regarded as criminals? Another symptom that they may also display is that they demand respect for mediocrity too. Then you've got the symptom that opposes constitutional reforms preferring to love the mediocre presidential system and economic protectionism over parliamentary and free markets.

At this point, the government may consider a different approach in quarantining people with COVID-19 from people with Noynoy-COVID-19. My proposed solution might be to relocate people with Noynoy-COVID-19 to be quarantined in Oakwood. Noynoy-COVID-19 patients can have their fears subsided when it will be Magdaldal troops that will protect them instead of the actual military. They can also start receiving goods and services from either Angat Buhay of Leni Loud Robredo and Ligo Sardines. Maybe, they can consider moving to Spratlys in a shelter made by substandard materials by Mar Roxas. Either way, the government needs to address this epidemic of Noynoy-COVID-19 much differently than COVID-19 to greatly flatten the curve and reduce quarantine degree and time as much as possible.
