Leni Loud Robredo Won't Get Her PHP 664 Million Budget Under A Parliamentary System

I remembered how I once wrote an entry where I raised up Leni Loud Robredo's unaccounted for expenses. Now, it's time to consider her position (or rather questionable position) as vice president of the Philippines to whether or not she's a waste of money. Now how much is the current budget for her? It turns out that according to the Philippine Star -- she now has a budget worth PHP 664 Million which makes you wonder why is she paid when she's not even doing her job?

There's a lesson in production management where you always have to cut off useless costs and diverting the budget to more useful costs. It's like a budget for typewriters has been allocated to a budget for desktop computers because we know the former got obsolete. We fire employees who can't contribute to the companies because it's a waste of money. We have the no work and no pay policy because paying everyone whether they work or not kills productivity. So why is Leni Loud who's clearly not working getting paid?

You can think how much PHP 664 Million could have been used for something more useful. It could have been used to buy some materials for agricultural and infrastructure projects. It could have been used for livelihood programs to teach poor people how to work. It's really a huge waste of taxpayers' money to increase her budget. So why complain about President Duterte's high expenditures meant for stuff like infrastructure, agriculture and investments when she does NOTHING but waste her time and space in the Office of the Vice President?

This problem would have been avoided in the parliamentary system would have she been a deputy prime minister or any member of the parliament. She can be  either deputy prime minister, opposition leader, deputy opposition leader or just any part of the parliament. Can you imagine if she were deputy prime minister and she were skewered for her lack of performance? A parliamentary system would determine whether or not anybody deserves to get their budget. She would be at the worst case scenario for her be voted out of office due to her incompetence as a member of the parliament.
