Leni Loud Robredo's Claim To Achievement/s And Expenses For Trips Will Get More Scrutiny Under A Parliamentary System
One of the biggest flaws that's now more evident in the presidential system is from the Office of the Vice President. It's not just a matter of change of people as there's less scrutiny between the president and the vice president with the legislative body. But that would not be the case of the parliamentary with how it deals with both the prime minister and the deputy prime minister.
The beauty of the parliamentary system is that Leni Loud as a Deputy Prime Minister would be at much bigger scrutiny. She would be scrutinized for doing yoga at the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister since her office in the parliament isn't a place for her to do yoga. Not only that, the opposition will be keeping an eye on her expensive trips and that it'd be much easier to trace whatever transactions the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister had made.
Let's say that the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister in the Philippines spent PHP 27.4 Million just for trips alone. This would be brought up in the parliamentary hall where her trips are accounted for. What reason did she make those trips? If these were business trips then she has to account does she have any investment pledges brought forth for the betterment of the Philippines? If she was just making her trips for leisure reasons then she can have unexcused absences in the parliament used against her in calling for a vote of no confidence.
She even dares to claim that she supposedly helped around 155,000 Filipino families. However, she hasn't even named at least even one real concrete data to back up her claim. This would cause members of the parliament to actually hound on her. Maybe, you can have the Deputy Opposition Leader and the Opposition grilling her to reveal her statements. It may end up in what would end up with her being unable to fabricate any "success stories" because the parliament will have more backup data to support or go against her claims.
As said, this is why the Philippines must shift from the presidential to the parliamentary system ASAP!
