Why I Think Maria Ressa's Arrest Is NOT An Attack On Press Freedom

Maria Ressa's arrest is as said for the millionth time NOT an attack on democracy. If Yellowtards want the rule of majority then where's the majority supporting them and Ressa? They can go ahead and argue that President Duterte won by plurality and yet Noynoy Aquino won by plurality too. Not to mention the percentage of those who voted for Mar Roxas and Leni Loud Robredo barely became a majority. That really has their screwed up logic really distorted. Just in -- Ressa finally had it coming. She had all the time to pay her tax evasion cases and what did she do? She continued playing the victim all over again until it finally reached its peak. She may go ahead and accuse President Duterte of being a bully but LOOK WHO IS TALKING!

Let's consider the relevance that Rappler ahem CRappler had with the Philippines. The whole #BlackFridayForPressFreedom was already ridiculous to start with. What threat of press freedom? If you're asked to pay your taxes correctly then pay it. She could have continued operating CRappler if she and her fellow higher-ups decided to pay taxes. Instead, they played the victim. What's even funnier is that they are supposedly defending democracy yet why are they hiring COMMUNIST activist groups to help in their protest? Why is CRappler having Toady Casino as a guest writer when that guy is a communist-in-denial? Aren't they supposedly defending democracy yet why are communist groups participating in said rallies?

She has to face the facts -- her victim playing and international awards aren't getting her anywhere as far as the Philippines is concerned. She can go ahead and get more awards in JAIL but it's not going to help her either. She can go ahead and claim to be a non-partisan fighting against fake news but the evidence is getting more obvious. Why is she siding with Jover Laurio whose wedding was flanked by a lot of anti-Duterte personnel. She's not getting into jail for being a Duterte critic -- if that were true then why are Jim Paredes, Leah Navarro and Agot Isidro badmouthing the president yet they are not in jail? Paredes should have spent a week or two in jail during the EDSA revolution yet President Duterte just ignored the old man. Both Navarro and Isidro still enjoy their freedom to badmouth the president. Her case is not an attack on freedom of speech and freedom of press but rather her abuse of both her privileges.
