Would You Drive An Old, Broken Car From 1987 When It's Already 2020?

A stupid 4Ps-obsessed old man and his wife say that the constitution is not a car. They fail to see the anology. Above is a comedic skit where an OVERLOADED, OLD, BROKEN, car is driven by Chel Diokno. The passengers are Franklin Drilon, Winnie Solitas-Monsod, Neri Colmenares, and Kikoman Pangilinan and we know overloading a car is NOT GOOD especially when it's OLD AND BROKEN. The car is labeled as "1987 Constitution" which gives us the question IF you are still willing to drive an old, broken car from 1987 when it's already 2020?

I remembered making a comparison of the 1987 Constitution to Windows 95. Who in the right mind would use old obsolete PCs that still run on Windows 95 in this day and age? The same goes when people still insist on using the 1987 Constitution when it's already 2020. How much of the constitution did change? That's why Fidel V. Ramos wanted to change the constitution for a better one. Ramos saw the system was the real problem - it produced bad politicians! A good system beats out bad people. A bad system beats out good people. Yet, framers and defenders of the 1987 Constitution still consider it to be "the best in the world". Best in the world? If that were true then why is the Philippines still LEFT BEHIND in ASEAN? Why are there so many pasaways in politics which encourage citizens to be pasaway too?

Back to the car - we need to realize that's what's going on with the Philippines. The car is both old and broken INSIDE OUT. It wouldn't matter much if the paint job wasn't so good if the insides were still working good. Unfortunately, the car's engine could no longer work as good as it was. In short, like a PC that's obsolete - you need to buy a NEW MODEL to fit with the demands of today's work environment. An overloaded car with a broken engine is bound to meet accidents down the road. It's not just the engine - the wheels and the breaks no longer work that well. Yet, the idiots are overloading it and think that it's still running well and that it's not the best time to replace it.

Just a matter of the person handling the wheel? It requires both a skilled driver and a good car to win the race. That's why I even wrote about the broken #Kathniel Bandwagon. The Dilawans are still trying to win the race with it while other contestants are bringing in their new race cars. Trying to get a driver to improve one's driving with a malfunctioning car doesn't work. How can a driver learn to drive a functioning car if all he or she was made to practice with was a malfunctioning car? That's the same thing with the 1987 Constitution - it's already an old, broken car yet its proponents still want to use it to win the car race. Isn't it any wonder why the Philippines still LEFT BEHIND in the ASEAN economic and political race?
