Will ABiaS-CBN Die Any Time Soon?

Nobody won't be in power, forever, right? Do you remember what happened to both the late Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. and Joseph Ejercito Estrada? Both were toppled down by two EDSA revolutions. ABiaS-CBN itself had a long-standing share ever since it was rightfully returned to the Lopezes after the Marcos Years by the late Corazon C. Aquino. Ever since then, the network itself has remained in power since it was returned. I remembered how the network itself had dominated the minds of Filipinos with MIND-NUMBING SHOWS during the 1990s up to present with shows like Deal or No Deal, Kris TV, and a whole series of TV dramas that go on and on with the plot going nowhere. You can also have their sensationalist news. Do you remember when Noli De Castro loves to present nonsense news such as reports of stuff like the aswang when it's only a mythical creature? Now, ABiaS-CBN is already in the threat of not getting its franchise renewed by March 20, 2020

They can tag #DefendPressFreedom all they want but let's examine what got them into deep do-do in the first place. It turns out that ABiaS-CBN has been using half-truths (fact-checking only when it's convenient for them) and may have some tax evasion cases to answer for. If the hashtag #DefendPressFreedom isn't working for Maria Ressa then what makes ABiaS-CBN think it will work for said network? They have the right to be critical of President Rodrigo R. Duterte. However, the likes of Karen Davila and Korina Sanchez-Roxas are letting their biases take over when they should be delivering fair news reports. So much for criticizing Mocha Usok for being biased and one-sided because they too are just as one-sided! They can dislike President Duterte all they want but they shouldn't let it get in the way of their job as reporters. They decided to side with their longtime comrade Jim Paredes instead of also get the story from the other side of the spectrum. Fortunately, their plan to make Paredes look like the "innocent victim" failed since the full video of his bullying has been now widespread.

ABiaS-CBN can be considered outdated too. Do you remember what happened to ABiaS-CBN's rather outdated network Hero TV? Said network was so outdated with their variety of shows. A good question to really ask is like who still watches those old school shows anyway but old schoolers who may soon stop watching said network. Shouldn't they focus on getting new school shows? ABiaS-CBN is also notorious for not updating its shows most of the time. Re-airing Princess Sarah the classic Anime instead of something new for the audience? The lack of diversity with their shows has become another factor. Remember how they keep patronizing the American localization over the Japanese original? Do they even realize some shows that used to be feasible in the 1990s are mostly not feasible today? I guess they are too stuck in their past successes too resulting in them being outdated. A business that refuses to evolve will eventually shoot itself to death.

They also have their unscrupulous practices which further ruins their credibility. One of the reasons why I boycotted Sky Cable and Sky Internet had to deal with unscrupulous offers. I remembered why I just paid my final bill for Sky Cable and NEVER renewing it. I remembered how you had to PAY additional content to watch quality content while all you are left with is garbage content. I remembered the time Sky Internet demanded me to pay for a trial run. If the trial run were supposedly well a trial run then shouldn't the Internet be cut when the trial hours were over? Then I remembered how my PLDT line may have been purposely cut by Sky Cable's workers. Do you also remember when Sky Cable disrupted the signal from GMA-7 to give ABiaS-CBN's noon break show a boost? This just proves how their decency is just fake decency

The signs of their possible demise were already showing one by one. The decline of Kris Aquino's TV shows and now NOBODY cares about her anymore is just one. They tried to make #OtsoDiretso look good and NOBODY won in the same coalition. You may also notice fewer people are watching their nonsense shows. The pro-Dilawan crowds which used to be so plenty are now getting few. That's why the majority is a fickle side. You can't always have the majority on your side. It's even safe to say that the arrogance of ABiaS-CBN may have too contributed to what could be their upcoming demise. Besides, there's the digital age and maybe more and more Filipinos will soon completely abandon ABiaS-CBN altogether.

Either way, it looks like ABiaS-CBN will soon be gone for good. What do you think of that possibility?
