"Manly" Filipinos Opposing Military Training Are Self-Contradictory

I'm always laughing at how some Filipinos claim how "manly" they are but whine at the prospect of the return of military training for able-bodied Filipinos. You can always claim to be manly but you can't fight your own battles. Ever noticed that bullies usually go in groups because their leaders usually can't fight alone? Now, what makes me laugh even more is how you've got these activists who are going against the revival of mandatory Reserved Officers Training Corps with preposterous claims (such as the picture above). Hmmm, I thought these guys were manly as they claim. They just suffer from a fake manliness that's probably even worse than Antonio Trillanes IV's.

It makes me laugh also at how some of these "manly" Filipinos call K-Pop guys as "faggots" but did they ever bother to do research that South Korea has MANDATORY military training? Have they really tried watching able-bodied South Koreans getting their two-year military training where they make their sacrifice to get ready just in case of a war? Just take a look at this video for a preview of what those K-Pop guys go through when they enter their two-year mandatory military training. Note that South Korea is also a DEMOCRACY yet it believes in military training. I wonder did these "manly" Filipinos even have THAT KIND of tough training that requires heavy commitment? If more Filipinos underwent that kind of training then imagine how much better they will be!

If they are truly man enough then DISCIPLINE is the core to it. Bullies aren't really manly -- they are just insecure people who pick on the weak in order to feel strong. But let them face a real challenge and they won't. Some of them may not even leave their comfort zones. Military training is all about learning discipline, teamwork, and love for one's country. Bullying is a big no-no in a real, disciplined military. A true man knows when to enter a conflict and when to get out of it. They would avoid useless bully fights but would enter a conflict to save the weak. That's real manliness that those "manly" Filipinos don't have in contrast to real Filipino men.

I guess they just can't stand a real TOUGH challenge even if they could. Besides, many Filipinos today don't have discipline. Discipline isn't a dictatorship.

  1. Mandatory conscription as in South Korea is different than military training as part of the school curriculum.

  2. Conscription in South Korea, tbh is something South Korean men are looking forward to.

It's so funny, some "macho" kuno Pinoys call K-Pop idols "bakla."
