Deputy Speaker Erin Tanada Should Try Drinking From And Swimming In Polluted Bodies Of Water

As if the idiocy of the Makabayad Lawmakers concerning the Manila Bay clean-up isn't enough -- now we have Senate seat aspirant from the #OtsoDiretso team of the Liberal Party Erin Tanada saying something similar. According to the Philippine Daily Non-Inquirer -- Tanada even calls it that cleaning Manila Bay will be dangerous because it's done" artificially and in haste" and that rehabilitation projects have put more countries in debt, poverty and environmental risks. WTF! What world does he live in anyway?

I would like to raise some objections to Tanada hoping he would reconsider his stand on what he just said. Does he think that Manila Bay is "self-cleaning" and "self-healing" like it's some magic body of water? Then he talks about putting countries in debt yet the Liberal Party won't hesitate to continue implementing the 4Ps program gone wrong -- where said program is now more of a mendicancy than a livelihood program. So should we condemn any Manila Bay projects done by Noynoy Aquino during his term as well?

If this guy seriously wants to object to the cleaning of Manila Bay calling it "dangerous" like the one with Boracay then here's a challenge. He should try drinking from and swimming in polluted bodies of water. The Manila Bay situation is not something to laugh about. Besides, isn't it also the fault of the Liberal Party's pro-squatting policies made by the likes of Joey "Squatterman" Lina that no amount of clean-ups done by Noynoy ever had any long-lasting impact?
