The CPP-NPA Legal Fronts: Still Using China As A Boogeyman Against 100% FDI

Two years ago, this caricature of the late Joma Sison was made. I would laugh thinking about the 100 years of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) as something that Joma could only dream of. Did Joma have a souring relationship with the CCP and maybe the Communist Party of Vietnam as well? It would make sense if Joma died in either Vietnam or China. Maybe, Joma could've enjoyed partying at the best bars of Ho Chi Minh City or at Shanghai in China. Instead, Joma chose the Netherlands which is pretty f***ing ironic. If hiding in North Korea wasn't a feasible option then Vietnam or China would've been a good place. Maybe, it would've been something if Xi Jinping had given permission to the CPP-NPA to pick up their beloved leader's body. Instead, Joma's body had to be shipped from the Netherlands than China.

Even after Joma's death, some CPP-NPA legal front members (such as Kayabangan Partylist, Alliance of Complaining Teachers, Lazy Filipino Students, Bayad Muna, Anakpatis, Gagabriela) are still using China as a scare. Since it's the first day of the Chinese New Year (better called, Lunar New Year) are still using the same old boogeyman. Proposals to allow FDIs to own 100% of their EQUITY in the Philippines are demonized. Do they realize that it's all about NOT requiring MNCs to find a LOCAL FILIPINO OLIGARCH PARTNER to do business with? Instead, they keep saying that allowing foreigners to own 100% of their shares equals (insert president)'s gift to China. They said it during Rodrigo R. Duterte's term. I think they also said it during the late Noynoy Aquino's term.

The CPP-NPA could've won the war years ago if it had China's help. Joma could've already ruled the Philippines as a vassal president for the late Deng Xiaoping. Just imagine if Joma accepted Deng's help. The Chinese military could've led a full-scale assault on the Malacanang and raised the Communist flag, and Deng could have given Joma the keys. Instead, Joma foolishly spurned Deng's neo-Communist ideals. Joma also foolishly refused to ally with the CPV and learn Doi Moi from the late Do Muoi. Maybe, Joma could've been enjoying life eating banh mi, Chinese dumplings, and having the best allies if he teamed up with China years ago. Instead, Joma's foolish retreat caused him to die an EXILE.

After Joma's death, wouldn't the smartest move for the CPP-NPA and its legal fronts to welcome Chinee takeover? Have each CPP-NPA legal front send its representatives. We could have Sarah Jane Elgago for Kayabangan Partyist, Carwyn Candila for Lazy Filipino Students, Arlene Boborosas for Gagabriela, Neri Colmenares for Bayad Muna, and Gary Martinez for Migraine International, to name a few. They could beg for the CCP's forgiveness and ally with it. Maybe, have Kayabangan Partylist surrender itself under the authority of the Chinese Communist Youth League. I think sending the SHN48 members to the campuses will be way more effective in recruiting youths.

Shouldn't the mere thought of the Philippines getting sold to China be a good thing for the CPP-NPA? A good thing for the CPP-NPA. It's because the Philippines will become a Communist state. The CPP-NPA will be legalized by the CCP. NTF-ELCAC will be abolished because the Philippines will be a Communist state. That means Kayabangan Partylist can now recruit the youths and start them young. However, the CPP-NPA continued opposition to PUV modernization, acceptance of MNCs, and military training may be why they don't want China to take over. I could imagine the CCP forcibly training members of Kayabangan Partylist and Lazy Filipino Students to MAN UP. Maybe, they'll cry over a basic obstacle course. Oh, I could imagine a Chinese Communist commanding officer may threaten to castrate them with a hammer and sickle should they refuse.

The same boogeyman will not work if one knows what FDI really is. FDI simply means to let foreign companies invest in one's country. Foreign doesn't always equal China. These sources of FDI can also come from other countries. The Philippines can accept FDI from ANY COUNTRY and still remain independent. China already accepted FDI from several countries and it's still independent. The CPP-NPA's China boogeyman is relaly obsolete one way or another.
