The accusation that so-and-so have been using troll farms (which both DDS and Dilawans accuse each other of) as well as Bobong Marcos is on. Election seasons tend to be the time when troll farms exist. Some of the troll farms also help operate pages like Change Scamming, Silent No More, and the whole #CocoyGate operation. Apparently, Antonio Trillanes IV might be the mastermind behind some troll farms himself since he's getting called as Trollanes. This gives me yet another weird speculation that maybe, just maybe, troll farms are indeed responsible for the high ratings of teleseryes such as how Ang Probinsyano keeps getting high ratings in this DIGITAL AGE.
Mula Sa Puso as well as other teleseryes had high ratings in the 1990s. Back then, the Internet was in its infancy - dial up modems were the norm before the digital subscriber line (DSL) came to be. People back then were crazy about the teleseryes of the past. I could remember how teachers in my time kept complaining about students missing their homework and projects for teleseryes. Though, the more the digital age came, the more other platforms were available. For example, Netflix and i-Flix are both platforms where you can watch other stuff now.
Troll farms are used to "give a lot of viewers". I could be wrong but I think the high number of subscriptions to ABiaS-CBN and those watching the teleseryes may also be attributed to troll farms. Maybe, GMA-7 is also using them to gain higher ratings too. Digital subscriptions are NOT immune from them. A single troll could use several mobile phones, several accounts, several PCs, and the like to artificially generate views. I really think that the teleserye-running networks are paying trolls to watch their shows whether it's on Youtube or any other paid digital subscriptions. It looks like it's a battle of troll farms when both ABiaS-CBN and GMA-7 compete for whose teleserye has higher ratings in this digital age. I think the battle has really moved forward in digital subscriptions as trolls may either multiply or possibly make multiple accounts per digital subscription.

I think Netflix Philippines is one ground for troll farms to. It's amazing to see how the Philippine bastardization of Descendants of the Sun is there along with The General's Daughter. There are also some Tagalog films here and there until the rights are no longer renewed. The Ang Tanging Ina film series is no longer on Netflix Philippines. However, there are now some short-term teleseryes (which should be the STANDARD NOW for teleseryes) as well such as He's Into Her. I think some of these teleseryes may temporarily get high ratings thanks to troll farms.
There's one thing worth nothing - Internet trolls tend to be just LOSERS. Why do you think that these trolls troll? It's because there's a high offering for their trolling services. If I'm not wrong - they get paid per post and per view. The fact that one has to hire a troll means one's a loser. If this is true then networks paying trolls to watch teleseryes means this - they have a LOSER MINDSET. Two years ago, Erik Matti did whine about what most Filipino subscribers are watching on Netflix.Such whining is just a loser mindset. Instead, why can't they try and see what makes those KDrama click and apply them instead? I guess hiring trolls to watch teleseryes is the easy way out, right?
